Carl Ray Inman

Carl Ray Inman was born on September 4, 1939, in Dent County, Missouri to Joe (Monk) and Velma (Shults) Inman and passed away on May 22, 2020, in Salem, Missouri at age of eighty years. Carl grew up in Salem, Missouri and graduated with the Class of 1957 from Salem High School. He was united in marriage to Helen Click on October 21, 1961 in Salem, Missouri and together shared fifty-eight years of marriage and were blessed with three sons: Carl Dean, Billy Joe, and Bradley. Carl worked hard to provide for his family. He worked as a skilled maintenance technician for General Motors and retired after thirty years. Carl enjoyed his retirement on the farm, especially the time on his tractor. But most of all, Carl loved spending time with his family. He was especially devoted to and deeply loved his wife and treasured the time spent with his grandchildren. They brought him many smiles and much laughter. Carl is survived by his loving wife: Helen (Click) Inman of the home; three sons: Carl Dean Inman of Princeton, KY, Billy Joe Inman and wife Karen of Winfield, MO and Bradley Inman and wife Dawn of Overland, MO; one sister: Doris Whitaker; three brothers: Dwain Inman, Dennis Inman and wife Kathy, Brian Inman and wife Nancy; one sister-in-law: Linda Inman; three brothers-in-law: Estle Click, Harold Click and wife Lavada, and Lonnie Click and wife Martha; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents: Joe and Velma Inman; four brothers; one sister; seven brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and his father and mother-in-law. Carl will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services for Carl Ray Inman were held Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Mike Gorman officiating. Special Music was provided by Melinda Medlock singing “Amazing Grace” and additional song selection played was “One Day At A Time”. Serving as Pallbearers were Danny Medlock, Steve Whitaker, Travis Inman, Jordan Henke, Ricky House, and Landon Inman. Burial was in the Dry Fork Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
