Delmar Dale Stagner

Delmar Dale Stagner was born September 28, 1941 in Darien, Missouri to Earl Lee and Estella Rebecca (Needy) Stagner and passed away July 17, 2019 surrounded by his loving family in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of seventy-seven years. As a young boy, Delmar grew up in Darien, Missouri. He graduated with the last graduating class from the old Salem High School. He was saved and baptized at an early age at Corinth Baptist Church. Delmar married the love of his life, Ramona Heath, July 2, 1960 in Salem, Missouri. Together they shared fifty-nine years of marriage and were blessed with four children: Martin, Robert, John and Kimberly and added to their family two additional children: Karen and Jim. Delmar was employed with Amax Lead Company for sixteen years as a Mill General Foreman. He also worked in construction and painting for several years. In his free time, Delmar spent his time cherishing his family and friends. He really enjoyed the time spent with his children, grandchildren and great great grandchildren. They enjoyed together camping, family barbeques and fish frys. Delmar also loved the outdoors and providing for his family by hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and gardening. He had a generous heart and blessed others by sharing the fruits of his labor from his garden. Delmar was an avid baseball fan supporting the St. Louis Cardinals. When given the opportunity, he enjoyed spending time listening to books on tape. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents were, his brother: Donald Stagner, nephew: Brent Stagner, brother in law: William Fowler, special uncle and aunt: Leo and Vadna Stagner and special cousin: Dean Stagner. Delmar is survived by his loving wife: Ramona Stagner of Salem, MO; children: Martin Stagner of Salem, MO, Robert Stagner and wife Susan of Azle, TX, John Stagner and wife Paula of Salem, MO, Kimberly Johnson and husband Michael of Salem, MO, Karen Schrader and husband David of Salem, MO and Jim Meeks and wife Helen of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Ryan, Devin and wife Diana, Chloe, Landon, Megyn, Skyler, Dale and wife Amberly, Ginnafer, Boone; great grandchildren: Jaydon, Madison, Sarai, Evelyn, Kinley, Ruby; siblings: Earlene Fowler of Fenton, MO, Edward Stagner and wife Dorinda of Mt. Solon, VA, Martha Click and husband Lonnie of Albaton, KY, Louie Stagner and wife Linda of Springfield, MO; sister in law: Sue Stagner of Salem, MO and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Delmar was a devoted husband, wonderful father, loving grandfather and caring brother. He will be remembered for his big heart, for always making people laugh and for always being willing to do anything for his family and friends. Funeral Service for Delmar Dale Stagner was held Sunday, July 21, 2019 with Pastor Rob Stagner officiating. Special music was provided by Sherri Stack who led the congregation in "Amazing Grace" and singing "Beulah Land" and Rob and Susan Stagner singing "It Is Well". Serving as Pallbearers were Mike Johnson, David Schrader, Skyler Johnson, Josh Freede, Jim Meeks, Wes Connell, Rick Anderson and Ray Stagner. Honorary Pallbearers were Landon Stagner, Dale Schrader, Jason Connell, Randy Fowler, Billie Fowler, Eli Connell, Tom Stagner and Tim Stagner. Burial was in the Green Forest Cemetery. All arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
