Donna Ann (Steelman) Dominique

Donna Ann (Steelman) Dominique was born on June 1, 1956 to Clint and Alice Steelman in Salem, Missouri and passed away on January 2, 2021 in Kerrville, Texas at the age of sixty-four years. Described as the most resourceful by her sisters, Donna had a can-do attitude and would work hard to make sure every detail was taken care of to a T. She had a young professionals life starting out and for years excelled at handling travel arrangements for a large International tourism office, she worked for airlines in St. Louis, Ft. Wood, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and even taught classes on tourism at the business college in Rolla. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to cook from scratch, decorate for entertaining, and keep things in order. She encouraged all around her to go for their dreams. She understood dreams could be for simple happiness or complex accomplishment. She had a keen eye for sincerity and could not be convinced of a lie. She also knew that life is short and that we are to see through the routes we choose. Her commitment was unwavering, but she wasn't about to accept a bad report just because someone else believed it. Her father left the family before she started school and all of the Steelmans led by Grandma Alice worked to make sure each and every one of us was taken care of. She had mentioned to Bo that one of her last adventures she would like to do was to go stand up paddle boarding on a peaceful rocky clear water lake, Bo says she is doing whatever she wants now and is no longer tied to any suffering and is enjoying smiling down on us all from Heaven. Donna is survived by, loving husband: Joe Dominique of Kerrville, TX; sons: Bo Heavin and wife Rebecca of Jefferson City, MO, Christopher Dominique of Kerrville TX, and Andre Dominique of West Plains, MO; siblings: Judy Meade of Salem, MO, Ronnie Steelman of Salem, MO, and Fay Stoll of St. Louis, MO; granddaughter: Trinity of St. Louis, MO; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding her in death, her parents: Clint and Alice Steelman; and siblings: Carl Steelman and Rita Quinn. Donna Ann wished all happiness who she met and saw the good in all places she lived, all of Missouri, Rock Springs WY, Laughlin NV, Bullhead City AZ, San Diego CA, and including the beautiful hill country of Kerrville Texas.
