Ellen Louise (Givens) Baum

Ellen Louise (Givens) Baum was born on June 8, 1953, in Salem, Missouri to Paul and Lou Helen (Dotson) Givens and passed away July 22, 2020, in Salem, Missouri at the age of sixty-seven years. Ellen Louise grew up in Salem, Missouri and graduated from Salem High School. On September 17, 1971, Ellen Louise Givens was united in marriage to the love of her life, Lloyd Dale Baum. Together they shared over thirty-three years of marriage and memories and were blessed with three children: Julie, Amanda, and Danny. Ellen Louise was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan and enjoyed watching games on T.V. She loved raising beautiful flowers, going fishing, and eating chocolate ice cream. Ellen Louise was one of a kind, with a big heart full of love and a sweet spirit. She treasured time spent with her family and friends, but she especially cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ellen Louise was a devoted member of Corinth Baptist Church where she faithfully served the Lord. Ellen Louise is survived by two children: Amanda Taylor and husband Matt of Salem, MO, Danny Baum and wife Angie of Viburnum, MO; four sisters: Paula Hedrick of Ulman, MO, Ethel Conway of Salem, MO, Zelpha Finley of St. Genevieve, MO, Sharon Pace and husband Jeff of Salem, MO; two brothers: Calvin Givens of Cedar Hill, MO, Jeff Givens of St. Louis, MO; step-mother: Joan Givens of Fenton, MO; five grandchildren: Lane Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Jamie Baum, Lucas Taylor, Krystina Taylor; two great grandchildren: Levi and Paisley; special friend: Kermit Lonning of Salem, MO; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceding her in death, husband, Lloyd Baum; daughter: Julie; parents: Paul and Helen Givens; sister: Vicky Warmbrodt; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ray and Fern Baum; five brothers-in-law; niece: Brenda Hedrick; and nephew: Cameron Conway. Ellen Louise leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services for Ellen Louise (Givens) Baum were held Saturday, July 25, 2020 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Bro. Scott Shults and Pastor Heath Garrison officiating. Special Music was provided by Sherry Stallings, Becky Smith, Joni Bobbitt, and Gerald Jones. Additional song selection played was “I Can Only Imagine”. Serving as Pallbearers were Steve Harris, Jeff Pace, Mike Price, Wes Jeffries, Tracy Cook, and Davy Joe Teague. Honorary Pallbearers were Lane Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Jamie Baum, Lucas Taylor, Krystina Taylor, Shayla Price, Jimmy Conway, Jerry Conway, George Finley, Jr., Michael Stacy, and Brad Harris. Burial was in the Corinth Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
