Jean (Copeland) Faulkner

Jean (Copeland) Faulkner was born on May 21, 1932, in Bixby, Missouri to James Otto "Ott" and Lora Elizabeth (Henson) Copeland. Jean went home to be with her Lord on August 5, 2021, at the age of eighty-nine years. Jean was born on her dad's thirty-third birthday and was raised in Bixby. She was united in marriage to Bernard Carl Faulkner on July 6, 1948 in Pocahontas, Arkansas and shared sixty-seven years of memories together before his passing on October 22, 2015. Jean and Bernard were blessed with three children: Judy, Joanie, and Randy. Jean was a hard worker and always kept busy. She was proud to own and operate "Jeanie's Department Store" for several years. She was a dedicated homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and tending to her home. Jean was talented with her hands and loved quilting. She made numerous baby quilts and even made her own designs. She was also a gifted artist and created many beautiful oil paintings. Most important to her were her family and friends, she valued spending time with them and adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Jean was a woman of faith and was a longtime member of Viburnum Christian Church. She always loved helping with the children at bible school every year. She was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and valued helping promote business activity and economic development in the area that was close to her heart. Jean was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Jean leaves behind to cherish her memories her, loving children: Judy Humphrey of Viburnum, MO, Joanie Gillam of Viburnum, MO, Randy Faulkner and wife Diana of Bixby, MO; grandchildren: Lucas Turnbough of Farmington, MO, Leslie Homer and husband Aaron of Viburnum, MO, Elizabeth Spittler of Twinsburg, OH, Ava Gillam of Cuba, MO, Amanda Hubbard of Farmington, MO, Andrew Faulkner and wife Kelci of Bixby, MO; great-grandchildren: Ashley, Hunter and husband Andrew, Dyllan, Hayley and husband Dustin, Colby, Addison, Kannedy Jean, Karson, and Karter; great-great-grandchildren: Ryan, Aiden, Landen, and Everleigh. Preceding her in death, husband: Bernard Faulkner; parents: James and Lora Copeland; and sister: Wilma Moore. Jean was one of a kind, with a big heart full of love. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness. Jean will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services for Jean (Copeland) Faulkner were held Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in the Viburnum Christian Church with Dustin Callahan officiating. Special song selections were played. Serving as Pallbearers were Andrew Faulkner, Luke Turnbough, Andrew Santurello, Danny Lee Bobbitt, Brock Snyder, and Tim Adams. Honorary Pallbearers were Dyllan Eye, Colby Eye, Rick Arndt, and Aaron Homer. Burial was in the Boss Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Jean Faulkner to the Viburnum Christian Church or Boss Cemetery and left at Wilson Mortuary.
