Katherine "Kathy" Sue Rictor

Katherine (Kathy) Sue Rictor was born May 13, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri to Herbert Lee and Carolyn Sue (Crocker) Rictor and passed away March 3, 2020, at home surrounded by her loving family in Salem, Missouri, at the age of fifty-eight years. Kathy grew up as the oldest of eight children. She was a nurturer by nature and spent many hours caring for family and friends. Kathy had no children of her own, but was a second mom to so many. She loved spending time with family and friends, holidays, and get-togethers. She also enjoyed talking about family history and always attended decoration day at the family cemeteries. She loved all her family and her cats: Rams and Mini. Kathy had a great work ethic and was a committed Wal-Mart employee for 15 years. Kathy is survived by her mother: Carolyn Rictor of Salem, MO; brothers: Daniel Rictor and wife Janie of Salem, MO, Jeff Rictor of Salem, MO, and Jason Rictor of Salem, MO; sisters: Christina Grossenbacher and husband David of Jefferson City, MO, Lisa Dawn Choate and husband Glen of Arkansas; Angela Quick and husband Brad of Rolla, MO; and Amie Ireland and Van of Jefferson City, MO; nephews: Clayton Ireland, Carson Ireland, D.J. Grossenbacher, and Daniel Rictor II; nieces: Cathryn Grossenbacher, Hope Price, Sue Price, Carolyn Price, Crystal Choat, Angel Rodabaugh, Kaitlyn Rictor, Paige Ireland, and Madison Ireland; many great-nieces and great-nephews; extended family and friends. Kathy is preceded in death by her father: Herbert Rictor; brother in law: Brent Ireland; grandparents: Lawrence Rictor and Marie Watson, and Lewis and Wilma Crocker. Kathy always had a smile on her face and was a friend to all she met. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Service for Katherine “Kathy” Sue Rictor was held Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Minister Tim Choat and Glen Choate officiating. Song selections played were “Sissy Song”, “Who Am I”, “I Sure Miss You”, and “How Great Thou Art” Serving as Pallbearers were Jim Crocker, Bob Ellerman, Rick Crocker, David Grossenbacher, Church Girardier, and Carson Ireland. Honorary Pallbearers were Van Heinz and Matthew Selle. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
