Leda Jean (Weber) Jackson

Leda Jean (Weber) Jackson was born May 31, 1944 in Shannon County, Missouri to Benjamin and Mary Francis (Light) Weber and passed away February 3, 2019 at her home in Salem, Missouri at the age of seventy-four years. Leda grew up at Round Springs, Missouri. On May 8, 1965, Leda Jean Weber was united in marriage to Harry Raymond Jackson in Salem, Missouri and to this union five children were born. Leda treasured her years of being a house wife and stay at home mother. Later she babysat all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed reading books, growing plants, and keeping up with all her family on Face Book. Leda especially loved and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandkids. Preceding her in death were her parents, Ben and Mary Weber; four sisters, Legola Light, Pauline Pruitt, Dorothy Strauser and Lorene Lundy; four brothers, Glen Weber, Lyndell Weber, Tony Weber and Elmo Weber. Survivors include her husband, Harry Jackson of the home in Salem, MO; five children, Marilyn Barton and husband, Matt of Salem, MO, Reda Scott and husband, David of Salem, MO, Sherry Tune and husband, Mark of Salem, MO, Steven Jackson of Rolla, MO, Jennifer Warden and husband, Shannon of Salem, MO; two sisters, Janet Marrill and husband, Carl of Salem, MO, Gertrude Taylor of Salem, MO; grandchildren, Angela Black, Amy Parsons, Shelly Bowling and husband, A.J., Rebecca Cox and husband, Joe, Chelsie Fulton and husband, Nick, Erin Pogue and husband, Logan, Meagan Jackson, Kayla Jackson, Ethan Jackson, Alicyn Warden, Sydney Warden, Jayci Warden; twelve great grandchildren, and many extended family and friends. Leda will be sadly and deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved her. Funeral Service for Leda J. (Weber) Jackson was held Thursday, February 7, 2019 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Rev. Randy Mahurin officiating. Memories were shared by granddaughter: Erin Pogue and special music was played: "You Are My Sunshine", "Well Done" and "More of You". Serving as pallbearers were Nick Fulton, A.J. Bowling, Eric Black, Logan Pogue, Joe Cox and Ethan Jackson. Honorary pallbearers were Austin Black. Interment was in the Jadwin Cemetery. All arrangements under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
