Mildred Lois (Midyett) Terrill

Mildred Lois (Midyett) Terrill was born August 4, 1929 in Dent County, Missouri. She was one of ten children born to Esco and Alice (Pyatt) Midyett. Mildred grew up and attended school in Gladden, Missouri. Mildred was united in marriage to the love of her life, John Pershing “J.P.” Terrill, on December 28, 1948 in Salem, Arkansas. They shared together forty-seven years of love and laughter before his passing on August 22, 1995. Mildred and J.P. were blessed with two children: Jerry and Sherry. Mildred was a dedicated homemaker and took great pride in raising her family and caring for her home. When her children entered high school, Mildred started working outside the home. She worked at the T.V. Factory, Tower Inn, and help run the family store, Terrill’s Conoco. Mildred enjoyed spending time outdoors and going on walks. She liked to garden and maintain her yard. Mildred was blessed with talented hands and loved to quilt, making many beautiful quilts for her family. Her family was most important to her and she treasured making memories with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Mildred was a lady of strong faith and a great prayer warrior. She loved reading and studying her Bible. Mildred attended Gladden Baptist Church for many years and later the Freewill Baptist Church in Salem. Mildred entered into eternal rest February 13, 2023, in Salem, Missouri at the age of ninety-three years. She is survived by her loving children: Jerry Terrill and wife Lou of Salem, MO and Sherry Piatt of Salem, MO; grandchildren: John Terrill and wife Ida of Salem, MO, Jerry Scott Terrill of Brookfield, MO, Jeff Piatt of Salem, MO, Jason Piatt and wife Sharon of Salem, MO, Jennifer Piatt of Rolla, MO, and Justin Piatt of Salem, MO; great-grandchildren: James, Jess, Jason Jr., Kimberly, Jordan, Justice, and Jace; great-great-grandchildren: Avery, Jaxon, Charlie, Audrey, and Amariana; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceding her in death, loving husband: J.P. Terrill; parents: Esco and Alice Midyett; and her nine siblings: Lily, Hazel, Howard, Irene, Noel, Oakie, Joyce, Nadine, and Ruby. Mildred leaves her family a legacy of love and devotion. She will be forever missed by those who loved her most. Funeral Services for Mildred Lois (Midyett) Terrill were held Thursday, February 16, 2023 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Bro. Billy Miller officiating. Song selections played were “Will The Circle Be Unbroken”, “On The Wings Of A Dove”, and “Let Her Fly”. Serving as Pallbearers were her loving grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers were her loving great-grandchildren and nephews. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
