Naomi Maude (Feeler) Snodgrass

Naomi Maude (Feeler) Snodgrass was born December 7, 1922, in Vichy, Missouri to Tilghman Moses and Iva Louella (Spencer) Feeler. She grew up in a loving home and graduated from Vienna High School. On January 11, 1942, Naomi was united in marriage to the love of her life, E.H. “Tickey” Snodgrass. Naomi and Tickey shared together seventy-four years of memories before his passing January 12, 2016. They were blessed with three children: Jo Ann, Calvin, and Penny. Naomi knew the value of hard work and alongside her husband raised their family on the farm. She was a loving and devoted homemaker and more. Naomi and Tickey owned and operated Jacks Drive-In in the 1960’s. She then worked at Walnut Bowl for about five years baking delicious pies. Naomi loved being outdoors and enjoyed helping Tickey with farm work. They did custom hay baling all over the area where Naomi could be found raking the hay. She truly loved the farm life and was especially fond of her black angus cattle. Naomi enjoyed sewing and made clothes for her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and made the best homemade rolls. Naomi was a lady of great faith and had served in several churches. At her death she was a member of First Baptist Church in Salem. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and would gladly take other children to church if they needed a ride. Her Savior was of utmost importance in her life. Naomi entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2023, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of one hundred years. Those left to cherish her memory were her loving daughters: Jo Ann Blackwell and husband Lloyd of Salem, MO, Penny Ellsworth and husband Randy of Salem, MO; her grandchildren: Celeste Krueger and husband James, Jack Blackwell and wife Michelle, Carleen Smith, Liz Blackwell and wife Kare Sternhell-Blackwell, Katie Blackwell and fiancé Michael Bielman, Jennifer Brooks and husband, Lynell, Stephanie Zelenbaba and husband Milos`, Greg Cox and wife Savannah, Shelley Richardson and husband Dannie, and Michelle Wiegert and husband Ricky; a host of great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; extended family and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her loving husband E.H. “Tickey” Snodgrass; son Calvin Snodgrass; grandson Tony Paul Snodgrass; granddaughter Miranda Ellsworth; parents Tilghman and Iva Feeler; and all twenty of her siblings. Naomi was a kind, sweet lady who lived an amazing life. She will be forever loved and always missed. Funeral Services for Naomi Maude (Feeler) Snodgrass were held Monday, May 8, 2023, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor John Smith officiating. Family and Friends shared memories. Special music was provided by pianist Sara Pines and soloist Lisa Wulff singing “Where Could I Go?” and “When We All Get To Heaven”. Serving as Pallbearers were Randy Ellsworth, Greg Cox, Cory Cox, Jackson Keene, Cass Keene, Hal Dean Smith, and Jack Blackwell. Honorary Pallbearer was Lloyd Blackwell. Burial was in the Morrison Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
