Norman Lee Bergner

Norman Lee Bergner was born April 18, 1938 in Berryman, Missouri to Roy Richard and Iva (Pryor) Bergner and passed away December 28, 2018, in Salem, Missouri at the age of eighty years. Norman was born in Berryman County, Missouri and grew up in Salem, Missouri. He attended Salem R-80 School. On August 1, 1958, Norman was united in marriage to Shirley Strain in Salem, Missouri and to this union three daughters were born. Norman was employed with Bottorff Furniture and Appliance for 40 years. He started as Delivery and worked up to Manager. Norman loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. His hobbies included camping with his family. Norman enjoyed working with Senior Ministry in nursing home ministry and Young At Heart. He was a member of Grace Community Church where he also served as Deacon for several years. Preceding him in death were his parents, Roy Bergner and Iva Bergner Sellers; step father, Guy Sellers. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Bergner of the home; three daughters, Belinda Crocker and husband, Gary of Oklahoma City, OK; Kathy Wood and husband, Loren of Salem, MO; Mary Kay Hampton and husband, Ben of Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren, Nick Crocker and wife, Amanda of Salem, MO; Dani Baldwin and husband, Curt of Salem, MO; Tabi Parks and husband, Mike of Salem, MO; Ryleigh Johnson and husband, Brandon of Oklahoma City, OK; five great grandchildren, Hailey Baldwin of Salem, MO; Khloe Baldwin of Salem, MO; Cole Crocker of Salem, MO; Kyler Baldwin of Salem, MO; Rue Crocker of Salem, MO; brother, David Bergner and wife, Sharon of Salem, MO; brother in law, William "Bill" Strain of Salem, MO. Norman will be sadly and deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved him. Funeral service for Norman Lee Bergner was held Wednesday, January 02, 2019 at Grace Community Church with Bro. Gary Bartle and Dani Baldwin officiating, special music was provided by Dani Baldwin, Tabi Parks, Shea Wood, Janet Ellis and Grace Community Church Group, “Young at Heart”. Serving as pallbearers were, Gary Crocker, Loren Wood, Ben Hampton, Nick Crocker, Curt Baldwin, Brandon Johnson, Mike Parks, Cole Crocker and Kyler Baldwin. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Salem.
