Teresa Renae (Curley) Decker was born on October 25, 1960, in Rolla, Missouri to Delbert and Lorene (Fox) Curley and passed away June 16, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Salem, Missouri at the age of fifty-nine years. Teresa grew up in Salem and graduated with the Class of 1979 from Salem High School. On September 5, 1980 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Lyndell Decker. Together they shared thirty-nine years of memories and were blessed with three sons: Daniel, Jimmy, and Jacob. During her working years, Teresa worked as a secretary at the Dent County Baptist Association. She was a very dedicated, loving, and proud mother of her three sons and valued spending time with them. Teresa loved, enjoyed, and spoiled her grandchildren and treasured their time together. Teresa had a sweet admirable spirit and was a faithful follower of Christ. She was a devoted Pastor’s wife to Walking Faith Ministries along with previous churches she and Lyndell served. Teresa was a kind and loving lady, with a servant’s heart and a desire to help others in the community. Her passion was giving to others with her time and thoughtfulness. She truly enjoyed serving the Lord and winning souls to Christ. Teresa loved spending time at church and working with the children during Sunday School, VBS, Children’s Church, and on Mission Trips. Teresa was one of a kind, full of love and compassion. Teresa is survived by her loving husband Lyndell Decker of the home; two sons: Jimmy Decker and wife Jeanne of Salem, MO and Jacob Decker and wife Courtney of Salem, MO; three siblings: Joyce Gray of Salem, MO, Janice Roper and husband Bob of Edgar Springs, MO, and Michael Curley and wife Jequetta of Viburnum, MO; sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Curley of Salem, MO, Gisela Curley of Salem, MO, and Sandy Curley of Salem, MO; father and mother-in-law: Jim and Imogene Decker of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Arriana, Malakia, Aaleigha, Paisleigh, Elijah, Maddox, Tobey, Silas, and one on the way; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceding her in death were her son: Daniel Decker; parents: Delbert and Lorene Curley; brothers: Leroy Curley, Larry Curley, Jack Curley, Wayne Curley, and Allen Curley; sisters: Gail Curley and Brenda Curley; brother-in-law, David Gray Sr.; daughter-in-law: Jamie Decker. Teresa leaves behind a legacy of strength, courage, dignity, and devotion. To know her was to truly love and admire her. Funeral Services for Teresa Renae (Curley) Decker were held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Walking Faith Ministries with Pastor Lyndell Decker officiating. Song selections played were “Even If” and “I’ll Fly Away”. Serving as Pallbearers were Brent Smith, Dennis Deason, Rick Mounce, Randy Eudy, Gary Nash, and Gary Polk. Burial was in the Mount Hermon Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
