Anthony "Tony" Deon Gorman

Anthony Deon Gorman was born August 27, 1972, in Columbia, Missouri to Pamela Gorman. He was known to his family and friends as “Tony”. Tony spent most of his life right here in Dent County. He was a devoted father, caring brother, beloved son, and cherished uncle. His love for fishing was only matched by his skillful hands when fixing things and his dedication to mechanical work. Known for his strong work ethic, he poured his heart into everything he did, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Above all, he cherished his children and was a proud grandpa, always showing his unconditional love and support. He would do anything for anybody, always ready to lend a helping hand. Tony will forever be remembered for his kindness, his passion for life, and his unwavering love for his family and friends. May his spirit continue to shine bright in our hearts. Tony entered eternal rest on August 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in Salem, Missouri, at the age of fifty-two years. Waiting for him in Heaven were his grandparents: Eyul and Hazel Gorman of Salem, Margaret, of Bushnell, IL, and Elmer Kaffer of Salem; his son: Anthony Deon Gorman Jr; precious granddaughter: Braylee Marie Mae Gorman; and his special uncles: Rick and Jeffrey Gorman. He leaves behind his mother and father, Pamela and James Kaffer of Salem, his wife, Angela, and children, Brittney, Caleb, and Dabrian Gorman all of Salem. He’ll also be missed by the grandchildren he loved so much, Addison, Killian, Roselynn, and Caleb Jr., all of Salem. Tony’s brother Tracy Gorman, wife Dana, and their children Tyler, Tori, Trinity, Tessa, and Tuff all of Salem. And also, brothers Jeremy Kaffer, with wife Susie, Josh Kaffer, with fiancé, Penny, Richard Kaffer, all of Salem. And sisters Carrie Cook, with husband Marty of Bolivar, MO and Susan Lewis, with husband Jay of Buffalo, MO. With a host of other friends and loved ones. Funeral Services for Anthony “Tony” Deon Gorman were held Saturday, August 31, 2024, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Mike Gorman and Aaron Steelman officiating. Special song selections were played. Serving as Pallbearers were Caleb Gorman, Eric Pierce, Eric Ragain, Jerry Todd Bettigrew, Josh Kean, Devin Atchinson, and Dalton Chapman. Honorary Pallbearers were Killian Gorman, Caleb Gorman Jr., Tuff Gorman, Ron Houston, Jimmy Gorman, and Michial Brackett. Burial was in the Berry Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Tony Gorman to Wilson Mortuary to help with final expenses.
