Archie Lee Stacy

Archie Lee Stacy was born February 6, 1943, in Carrollton, Illinois to Elvie and Juanita (Smith) Stacy. He was known to his family by his nickname “Archie Ball”. Archie grew up and attended school in the Bunker and Salem community. At a young age, Archie met the love of his life, Janet Sue Britton. They were united in marriage on December 28, 1963, in Salem, Missouri and shared over sixty years of lasting memories together. Archie and Janet were blessed with three children: Allen, Gregory, and Pamela. Archie was a hard worker and worked in the construction industry for many years. He worked with the union along with Perry Lewis and has built several buildings in Dent County, Missouri. Archie was also the owner of Current River Hardwoods for many years. Archie was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed what nature provided. He liked to go fishing on the rock at Welch Cave along with the Current River and at Clearwater Lake. He has many fond memories with his family camping at the Red Bluff Campground. Archie loved his family and looked forward to family get togethers. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. Archie was a man of great faith, who used his many talents to live a beautiful life with love and music. He was a longtime member at Revival Tabernacle where he played his guitar and sang. Archie was currently attending worship at Salem Pentecostal Church of God. Archie entered eternal rest August 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Salem, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years. Those left behind to cherish his memory include loving wife: Janet Stacy of Salem, MO; daughter: Pamela Anderson of Lake Ozark, MO, siblings: Myrna Faulkner of Salem, MO, Gene Stacy of Salem, MO, and Carolyn Lough and husband Jerry of Salem, MO; sister-in-law: Barbara Stacy of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Megan Key and husband Richie, Trenton Stacy and wife Kayla, Isaac Stacy, Brianna Sumner and husband William, Kera Sullivan, Garrett Stacy, Adryon Bourbon, Byron Bourbon and wife Kelsey, Canyon Bourbon, Dillon Reynolds and wife Hanyh, and Hanna Henson and husband Waylon; great-grandchildren: Braxton, Brynley, Everlee, Stella, and Sunny. Preceding him in death were his precious sons: Allen and Gregory; parents: Elvie and Juanita Stacy; brother: Jerry Stacy; and son-in-law: Chris Anderson. Archie was well loved by all who knew him. He never met a stranger and created a strong friendship with many. His legacy will live on in those who loved him most. Archie will be forever missed. Funeral Services for Archie Lee Stacy were held Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Veronica Lato and Pastor Virgil McWhorter officiating. Special Music was provided by Steve and Pat Connors, and Richie Key. Additional song selections played were “You Can’t Tell Me I’m Dying” and “When I Wake Up In Glory”. Serving as Pallbearers were Trenton Stacy, Dillon Reynolds, Waylon Henson, Zach Schafer, Nathan Boxx, Brandon Murr, and Alec Schafer. Honorary Pallbearers were Tommy Boxx and Danny Boxx.
