Bonnie Jo Dotson

Bonnie Jo (Weidenhoffer) Dotson was born March 24, 1954, in Bunker, Missouri, to William and Ollie. Bonnie departed this life May 1, 2024, in Bixby, Missouri, at the age of seventy. Bonnie was united in marriage to Jim Salsman and to this union blessed with two children: William and Bobbi Jo. She later was united in marriage to Ricky Dotson and to this union gained three children: William, Daniel, and Craig. Bonnie had a loving, caring, and compassionate heart and worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant in several nursing homes until her retirement. She took great pride in her career and cherished the relationships made with the residents. Bonnie had a real passion for quilting and made numerous quilts for her family and friends. She liked working in her yard, planting flowers, and tending to her flower beds. Most important to her was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a lady of strong faith and enjoyed fellowship with others when she could. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband: Ricky Dotson of Bixby, MO; sons: William Salsman of Bixby, MO, William Dotson and wife Amy of Arkansas, Daniel Dotson and wife Cindy of Camdenton, MO, Craig Dotson of Licking, MO; siblings: Chris Suhling, Donna Ritter, Steve Smith, Andy Dunn, Timothy Dunn, Donald Dunn Jr., and Billie Metz; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her infant daughter: Bobbi Jo Salsman; father: William Weidenhoffer; mother: Ollie Dunn; and sister: Ollie Sumpter. Bonnie will be forever remembered and deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Graveside Services for Bonnie Jo (Weidenhoffer) Dotson were held Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Bunker Cemetery with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were William Salsman, William Dotson, Daniel Dotson, Craig Dotson, Clinton, Dotson, and Matthew Dotson.
