Daniel Charles Sharp

Daniel Charles Sharp was born on October 22, 1950, in Brentwood, Missouri, to Charles and Louise (Muller) Sharp. He was born and raised in Brentwood and graduated from high school in 1968. Following high school, Daniel attended college for a few years before enlisting in the United States Army. He proudly served during the Vietnam War and received the purple heart for his faithful service. On November 29, 2004, Daniel married the love of his life, Jamia Brooks, in Salem, Missouri. Together, they shared many cherished years and built a loving family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who treasured his family above all else. Daniel especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and watching them grow. His family brought him great joy and countless memories that will be cherished forever. A dedicated and tireless worker, Daniel began his career as a skilled surveyor and wood finisher. He then spent many years in the construction field where he worked on commercial buildings before he retired. When Daniel wasn't working, he loved being outdoors. He enjoyed watching deer, fishing at Cedar Grove, Montauk, and Welch Spring, and canoeing on the Current River. He took great pride in everything he did, especially caring for his yard, which he kept beautifully maintained. Daniel will be remembered as a great listener, a friendly and kindhearted man who was always willing to help others. He never hesitated to give away whatever he had if someone else needed it. His generosity, hard work, friendliness, and love for his family touched many lives. He was a longtime member of Salem Lutheran Church and proud supporter of the National Rifle Association. Daniel passed away August 26, 2026, at his home in Salem, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of seventy-five. He is survived by his loving wife: Jamia Sharp of Salem, MO; daughter: Jennifer Harmon and husband Jarod of Steelville, MO; son: Jason Sharp of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren: Douglas Harmon and wife Jessica, Gabriel White, Kaytlyn Harmon and fiancé Eli, Nicholas Hoff, and Allison Hoff; great-grandchildren: Madison, Cayson, and Charlee; sister-in-law: Shirley Wildhaber of House Springs, MO; special nephew: Kris Wildhaber; special friends: Joe and Terresa Brown and Rick and Sue Anderson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Preceding him in death were his son: Aaron Sharp; parents: Charles and Louise (Muller) Sharp; and his very loved sister: Louise Horstman. Daniel leaves behind a lifetime of memories and the love of a family who will miss him dearly. His kindness, generosity, hard work, and love for the outdoors and his family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor David Kettner officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were Jarod Harmon, Kris Wildhaber, Michael Counts, Douglas Harmon, Gabriel White, and Jose Dickson. Burial was in the Jadwin Cemetery.
