Darlene Faith (Robbins) DuBois

Darlene Faith (Robbins) DuBois was born November 25, 1950, in Rockland, Maine. She was one of twelve children born to Donald and Gladys (Widdecomb) Robbins. Darlene grew up in Rockland and met the love of her life, Warren DuBois, at Old Orchard Beach. On June 27, 1970, in Portland, Maine, Darlene and Warren were united in marriage. They were blessed with three sons: Warren Joseph, Gregory, and Matthew, and fifty-three years of lasting memories. Darlene and Warren travelled all over with his forestry job before making Salem, Missouri their home. Although her primary role was a dedicated homemaker, Darlene worked outside the home for many years. She worked in real estate, as a beautician, and was a longtime clerk at Wells Package Store. Darlene liked spending time in the kitchen cooking for her family. Some of their favorite dishes were her baked beans, potato salad, and her homemade spaghetti sauce. Darlene enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and was proud to be a Denver Broncos Fan. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family. She was a fun-loving grandmother and loved to spoil her nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Darlene’s devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother will forever inspire her family. Darlene was a lady of great faith. Since 1987, she has been an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Salem, Missouri. Darlene enjoyed volunteering, especially in the kitchen and on the Parish Council. She lived to love others and through her servant’s heart, she touched the lives of many. Darlene entered eternal rest September 28, 2023, in Columbia, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years. Those left behind to treasure her memory include her loving husband: Warren DuBois of Salem, MO; sons: Warren Joseph DuBois and wife Susan of Salem, MO, Greg DuBois and wife Melissa of Rolla, MO, and Matt DuBois and wife Beverly of Clarksville, TN; brother: Richard Robbins and Mary; grandchildren: Triston, Paige, Reagan, Kaiden, Sylis, Krielle, Kaylie, Kelsie, and Kinsley; great-grandchildren: Addi and Ellie; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her parents: Donald and Gladys Robbins, and ten siblings. Her larger-than-life personality leaves an incredible mark on all those who knew her. Darlene was someone who spoke her mind with honesty and had a big heart. Her legacy will endure through the cherished memories she leaves behind. She will be forever missed. Funeral Mass for Darlene Faith (Robbins) DuBois was held Monday, October 2, 2023, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Antoney Jose Thundathil officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were Triston DuBois, Paige DuBois, Reagan DuBois, Kaiden DuBois, Sylis DuBois, Kaylie DuBois, Kelsie DuBois, and Kinsley DuBois.
