Elsie Marie (Martin) Reeves

Elsie Marie (Martin) Reeves was born on September 15, 1946, in Boss, Missouri, to Dalton and Mamie (Mayfield) Martin. She was one of eight children and grew up in Boss. After obtaining her GED, Elsie furthered her education and received her Medical Assistant Certification. On September 18, 1964, Elsie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dannie Gail Reeves. Elsie and Dannie shared fifty-eight wonderful years of memories together before his passing on October 4, 2022. Elsie worked as a Medical Assistant at Big Springs Medical for many years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crocheting, going to church, and taking care of her family. Elsie was an incredible aunt to a host of nieces and nephews. She cherished spending time with them and treasured the memories they made together. Elsie entered eternal rest on August 4, 2023, in Cedar Hill, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years. Elsie is survived by her loving siblings: Danny Martin of Bixby, MO, Jerry Martin and wife Bev of Boss, MO, and Donna Martin and husband Stan of House Springs, MO; brother-in-law: Dennis Reeves and wife Lora of Oklahoma City, OK; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were, her loving husband: Dannie Reeves; parents: Dalton and Mamie Martin; siblings: Harold Martin and wife Anita, Elvie Martin, Delmar Martin and wife Jerri, and Verna Schneider and husband Frank; nephew: Daniel Martin; and her great-nephew: Danny Reeves. Elsie was beautiful inside and out. She was a very kindhearted, thoughtful, caring person who will be deeply missed by those who loved her most. Funeral Services for Elsie Marie (Martin) Reeves were held Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the Macedonia United Baptist Church, Boss, Missouri, with Pastor Heath Garrison officiating. Song selections played were “Far Banks of Jordan” and “On the Wings of a Dove”. Serving as Pallbearers were Tony Martin, Johnny Martin, Matt Martin, Brandon Martin, Larry Martin, Joe Martin. Dalton Schneider, Mike Reeves, Billy Martin, and Kevin Martin. Burial was in the Boss Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
