Garry Michael Vallero

Garry Michael Vallero was the son of John and Louise (Casper) Vallero. He was born November 18, 1957, in East St. Louis, Illinois. Garry grew up in Collinsville, Illinois and graduated in 1975 from Collinsville High School. In September 1976, Garry enlisted into the United States Marine Corp and served his country honorable and faithfully for four years. On September 12, 1992, Garry was united in marriage to Deborah Quick. Together they built a home filled with warmth, support, and shared adventures. Their marriage of nearly thirty-three years demonstrated their enduring love, a bond that grew stronger over time. Garry and Deborah were blessed with one son, Nick. As a father his greatest joy was spending time making memories together as a family. He adored his granddaughter Sophia and was looking forward to the arrival of Vincent. Throughout his life, he was a dedicated worker and took great pride in supporting his family. He has worked at Briggs and Stratton as well as many years with Canoak. Garry was always up for an adventure and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to fish, hike, and feed the wildlife. Garry was called home on July 7, 2025, in Rolla, Missouri, at the age of sixty-seven years. Those left behind to carry on his legacy include his loving wife: Debbie Vallero of Salem, MO; son: Nick Vallero and Mariah Adams of Salem, MO; sisters: Vickie McDonald and husband Mike of Troy, IL and Sandy Schoenleber and husband Mark of Hamel, IL; brother: John Vallero and wife Cheryl of Redbud, IL; grandchildren: Sophia and baby Vincent on the way; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his parents: John and Louise (Casper) Vallero. Garry was one of the kindest people you ever met. His faith was important to him and evident in his actions. He will be forever missed by those who loved him most. Funeral Services for Garry Michael Vallero were held Friday, July 18, 2025, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Tim Hill officiating. The eulogy was shared by his son, Nick Vallero and many special memories were shared. Song selection played was “Over the Hills and Far Away”. Serving as Pallbearers were Keith Copeland, Cody Ard, Levi Wills, Ayden Wills, Nick Vallero, and Jacob Wills. Military Honors was provided by the American Legion Post 99 and United States Marine Corp. Burial was in the Jadwin Cemetery.
