Jo Ann Rictor

Jo Ann Rictor was born on July 10, 1944 in Dent County Missouri to Lawrence and Bessie Roney and passed away January 22, 2019 in her home in Salem, Missouri surrounded by her loving family at the age of seven-four years old. Jo Ann grew up in Salem and went to Salem High School. At a young age she was saved at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Jo Ann met a handsome young man named Jerry Rictor and on June 10, 1960 in Springfield Illinois they were married; to this union there were four children born: Betsi, Toni, L.D. and Bo. Jo Ann working throughout her years. She worked as a Beautician for some time and also worked as a dispatcher for the police department. Jo Ann also work in the bakery for 22 years at Country Mart decorating cakes. Jo Ann had many things that she enjoyed: crocheting, playing cards and dice. She also enjoyed watching T.V. especially Westerns. Spending time taking her little puppy Studly for afternoon car rides. But what brought her the most joy in her life was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Jo Ann is survived by her loving husband: Gerald "Jerry" Rictor of Salem, Mo; four children: Toni (Doug) Snider of Salem, MO, Bo Rictor of Salem, MO, L.D. (Stacy) Rictor of Salem, Mo and Betsi (Robert) Rictor of State of Colorado; six grandchildren: Lawrence (Makayla) Rictor Jr., Allan Rictor, Cody Rictor, Chrissy (J.C.) Flores, B.J. Hensley and Nikki (Joseph) Tones; seven great grandchildren: Jaden, Madison, Riley, Wyatt, Lawson, Savanna and Kyra; and other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Bessie Roney. Jo Ann will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services for Jo Ann Rictor was held Friday, January 25, 2019 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Tim Hill officiating. Special music was played "Because You Loved Me", "When You're Gone", "Go Rest High", "Remember When" and "Sissy Song". Serving as pallbearers were Bo Rictor, Jr. Rictor, Cody Rictor, L.D. Rictor, Allan Rictor and J.C. Flores. Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery of Salem, Missouri. All arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
