Judith "Judy" Ann (Steelman) Inman

Judith “Judy” Ann (Steelman) Inman was born on August 11, 1944, in St. Louis. She was the daughter of Hershal David and Earlene (Keithly) Steelman. Raised in Dent County, she grew up in Pine Holler near Jadwin. On June 4, 1960, Judy married the love of her life, Junior Dearl Inman, in Salem, Missouri. Together they built a loving home and were blessed with seven children: Teresa, Tammy, Michael, Vicky, Lisa, Laura, and Brandon. Junior preceded her in death on February 25, 2019. Judy worked hard throughout her life, holding positions at the International Shoe Factory, Town & Country, Seville Care Center, and at Salem Memorial District Hospital before retiring as Director of Home and Health at Enrichment Services. In every role, she was known for her compassion, dedication, and genuine care for others. Family was Judy's greatest joy. She treasured every moment spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She happily babysat creating countless cherished memories. She loved working puzzles, tending her garden, and preparing delicious meals. Her home was always open, and her children's friends were welcomed and loved as if they were her own. Judy lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. A devoted Christian, Judy faithfully served the Lord throughout the years as a secretary, youth leader, Vacation Bible School worker, and Sunday School teacher. She was recently attending Walking Faith Ministries. Judy entered her heavenly home on July 24, 2026, at her home in Salem, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of eighty-one years. Judy is survived by her children: Teresa Sellers of Salem, MO, Lisa Miller and husband Billy of Salem, MO, Laura McElfresh and husband Edward of Salem, MO and Brandon Inman of Salem, MO; siblings: Sherry White and husband Kevin of Salem, MO, Claudia Lackey and Ralph Seydlitz of Licking, MO, and Jerry Steelman and wife Gail of Salem, MO; grandchildren: LeAnn Kaminski and husband Jimmy, Scott Sellers, Dane Sellers, Jesse Frausto, Nikki Locklear and husband Jason, Stevi Westerman, Amy Miller and Stanley Hayes, Brittany Shelton and husband Austin, Dustin Miller and wife Morgan, Lyndsay Head, Hannah Crennan and husband Zach, Grace Landers, Jude McElfresh, Mikenna Hall and husband Princton, Kaden Inman, Kolton Inman, Michael Inman, and Bella Phillips; several great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband: Junior Inman; children: Tammy Inman, Michael Inman, and Vicky Westerman; parents: Hershal “David” and Earlene (Keithly) Steelman; sisters: Marlene Smith and Sandy Warren; and her great-great-grandson: Colter James Walker V. Throughout her life, Judy endured heartbreaking loss with remarkable strength and unwavering faith. She remained the steady rock of her family, always placing God and her loved ones above all else. She leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories and an example of grace, strength, and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services were held July 30, 2026, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Dr. John Westerman and Pastor Lyndell Decker officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were Scott Sellers, Dane Sellers, Dustin Miller, Jude McElfresh, Kaden Inman, Kolton Inman, Michael Inman, Toby Hayes, and Deason Sellers. Honorary Pallbearers were Drake Sellers, Seth Sellers, Eyan Sellers, Jay Kaminski, Ty Locklear, Henry Hayes, Logan Walker, Housten Crennan, Holly McCarter, and Diann Anderson. Burial was in the Dry Fork Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Judy to Dry Fork Cemetery and left with Wilson Mortuary. Memorial Envelopes will be available.
