Judy Ann (Edwards) Hasten

Judy Ann (Edwards) Hasten, born December 16, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away March 5, 2026, in Washington, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years. Judy was the daughter of Martin and Virginia (Black) Edwards. She grew up in the Tower Grove area, attended Adams Grade School, and graduated from O’Fallon Tech High School. On September 29, 1962, Judy was united in marriage to the love of her life, Harley Wayne Hasten. Together they built a life filled with love and devotion and were blessed with two sons: Harley Wayne Hasten Jr. and Brian Keith Hasten. Judy and Harley shared sixty-two wonderful years of marriage and countless cherished memories before his passing February 29, 2024. Judy worked for many years in the payroll department at Edward Jones, where she formed many lasting friendships. She loved spending time with her girlfriends, playing card and board games, and attending bluegrass music festivals. Judy and Harley also shared a love for camping in their RV and treasured the many family gatherings that brought everyone together. Judy absolutely loved children and babies, if anyone walked in with a baby, Judy would immediately have that baby! She adored her “step” grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was affectionately called aunt by many and she welcomed and loved everyone. Her faith in the Lord was an important part of her life. She was a devoted member of Crossville Southern Baptist Church, where she enjoyed volunteering, participating in church activities, and listening to gospel music. Judy is survived by her son: Harley Wayne Hasten Jr. of St. Louis, MO; daughter-in-law: Tracy Johnson of Union, MO; sisters-in-law: Sharon Fuller of Salem, MO and Joanie Maulding of Tennessee; brother-in-law: Terry Hasten; nieces and nephews: Donald Johnson, Beau McCormick, Missy Fuller, Candy Lyons, Junior Fuller, Angela Cummings Brown, William Hill, Tabatha Deutsch, and Patricia Pearson; special lifelong friend: Judy Tyree; as well as many cherished friends and other relatives. Preceding her in death were her loving husband: Harley Wayne Hasten; son: Brian “Keith” Hasten; parents: Martin and Virginia (Black) Edwards; brothers: Harry & Bill Edwards; nieces and nephews: Gregg and Chris Edwards, Tempo Edwards, Jesse Fuller, Gina Bass; special uncle: Roy Kay; and many other relatives and dear friends. Judy will be remembered for her beautiful and contagious smile, loving heart, her kindness and compassion, and the warmth she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. From Tracy: Judy became my “second” mom after my own passed away and I was so incredibly blessed to have such a wonderful and loving mother-in-law who welcomed me with open arms. I will forever cherish and treasure the visits to the farm and our girl time and playing skip-to (we were always partners while Pop and Keith were partners who cheated making googly eyes at each other. We shared so many laughs and teasing them! Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 14, 2026, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Chad Wisdom officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were Wayne Hasten, Beau McCormick, Junior Fuller, William Hill, Daniel White, and Nick Lyons. Burial was in the Crossville Cemetery, Bunker Missouri.
