Julia Ann Batstone

Julia Ann Batstone, the daughter of Fred Batstone and Alice (Ackerly) Shaver, was born on July 21, 1965, in Patchogue, New York. She passed away April 1, 2026, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of sixty years. Julia had a deep love for her family, especially her nieces and nephews, whom she cherished as her own. She had a kind and helpful nature, always taking an interest in others and offering a warm, welcoming presence. She attended Salem First Baptist Church, where she found great joy in sharing her faith in Jesus with others. Julia worked for many years as a stocker at Wal-Mart, where she was known for her dedication and friendships she built with coworkers, whom she considered family. In her free time, she enjoyed online gaming, which brought her both entertainment and connection with others. Those left behind to treasure her memory include her mother: Alice Shaver; siblings: Janet Torres and husband Jesus’, Ken Batstone and wife Charlene, and Deb Rand and husband Don; nieces and nephews: Dan, Cliff, Matt, Cori and Ashley, and Nathan and Sarah; great-nieces and nephews: Destiny, Allison, Kevin, Jacob, LeMarcus, Honey, Sera, Teddy, Tony and Lexi; as well as her Wal-Mart Family, Salem First Baptist Church Family, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her father: Fred Batstone; and her niece: Sarah Batstone. Julia will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her sweet spirit and contagious smile left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed. Funeral Services were held Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Salem First Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Wilmont officiating. Music was provided by David Hancock and Lisa Wulff. Serving as Pallbearers were Ken Batstone, Nathan Anderson, Clifford Felter, Mark Stroburg, Chris Esquire, and Beau Massey. Honorary Pallbearers were Jacob Felter and Teddy Colburn. Burial was in the Sligo Cemetery. The family was served by Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Julia Batstone to the Sligo Cemetery and left with Wilson Mortuary. Memorial Envelopes will be available.
