Kory Don Bounds

Kory Don Bounds was born on June 10, 1998, in Quincy, Illinois to Robbie and Jeannie (Gollaher) Bounds and passed away July 26, 2020 at the age of twenty-two years. Kory grew up in Salem and graduated with the Class of 2016 at Salem High School. After graduation, Kory started B & C Professional Timber Harvesting alongside his stepfather Les. Kory was a hard-worker and very knowledgeable about what he was doing. On August 11, 2018, Kory married his sweetheart, Emily Martin in Cherryville, Missouri and together they shared many wonderful memories and were blessed with one son: Kainnon. Kory loved being a father and valued spending time his son. Kory was always on top of the world and lived life to the fullest. He was strong, full of ambition, and had a determined mind. Kory loved the outdoors; he spent a lot of his time in woods, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Saddle Tramp Motorcycle Club and enjoyed riding. Kory was always surrounded by family and friends and cherished the time spent with them. Kory is survived by his loving wife Emily Bounds of the home: son: Kainnon Bounds of the home; father: Robbie Bounds and wife Julie of Salem, MO; mother: Jeannie Cook and husband Les of Salem, MO; siblings: Ona Kissee and significant other Cody of Branson, MO, Kristien Ferry and significant other Nathan of Salem, MO, Payton Wilson of Salem, MO, Miranda Ferry of Salem, MO, Josh Bounds and wife Baylee of Salem, MO, Cameron Bounds of Salem, MO, Madison Cook and significant other Tyler of Salem, MO, Natily Cook of Salem, MO, Colten Bounds of Salem, MO; grandparents: Mary Ryffel, Delbert and Trudy Gollaher, Pam and Lynn Crismon, Charles and Diana Tucker, Don and Marilyn Bounds, and Walter and Sue Gollaher; great-grandparents: Carolyn Brown and Dave and Sharon Crismon; one nephew: Mason Bounds; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Preceding him in death, stepson: Hoyt Botkin; grandfather: Terry Cook; great-grandparents: Howard Piatt, Imogene Wallace, Margie James, and Anna Edler. Kory will be remembered as a fun-loving husband, dad, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. His goofy smile, witty sense of humor, and willingness to help others will never be forgotten. Kory may be gone from our sight, but his memory will remain in our hearts forever.
