Kristina Lynn (Boxx) Bounds

Kristina Lynn (Boxx) Bounds was born August 13, 1975, in Rolla, Missouri. She was one of two daughters born to Dennis Ray and Shirley Jean (Treadway) Boxx. She was a daddy’s girl and held a special bond with her sister. At a young age, she accepted the Lord as her Savior and attended the Assembly of God Church with her family. Kristina grew up in Salem, Missouri and graduated from the class of 1993 from Salem High School. While in high school, Kristina met the love of her life, Benji Bounds. They were inseparable high school sweethearts, and united in marriage on September 18, 1993. As a couple they sacrificed themselves to give graciously to others. They grew up together, learned from one another, and built a life they would cherish for lifetimes to come. Kristina went on to further her education with Allied Health while working a full-time job. She obtained her associate’s degree in medical billing and coding. Always a hard worker, she currently was working for Midwest Innovation Laboratory. A daughter, sister, wife and mother of two sons: Dylan and Logan, Kristina was all about enjoying life to the fullest! Her personality was an embodiment of grace; she was gentle, kindhearted (which she inherited from her father), compassionate, happy, and loving. A beacon of support for her family. She lived her life fully for them, endlessly supportive, pouring her love into every moment spent with them. A lover of the outdoors, Kristina was an avid gardener with a green thumb and a passion for nature’s true beauty. She also had a love of music, especially pop and rock. Kristina was gifted with a beautiful voice and while in high school, she lettered in choir. She could also play the piano and enjoyed playing church hymns. Kristina entered eternal rest February 21, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of forty-nine years. She is survived by her loving husband: Benji Bounds of House Spring, MO; sons: Dylan and Logan Bounds of House Springs, MO; mother: Shirley Boxx of Salem, MO; sister: Shelly Zimbelman of St. Louis, MO; niece: Karen Zimbelman; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her father: Dennis Boxx Jr.; and grandparents: Dennis Sr. and Rebecca Boxx and Frank and Byrtle Treadway. Kristina was beautiful inside and out. She was an outgoing person who was good to everyone and fun to be around. Kristina was larger than life, her laugh was contagious, and her smile could light up the room. She will be forever missed. Funeral Services for Kristina Lynn (Boxx) Bounds were held Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Grace Community Church, Salem, Missouri, with Pastor Terry Davis, Pastor Rhonda Barnes, and Ronnie White officiating. Song selections played were “Dancing In The Sky”, “Amazing Grace”, and “Love The People God Gives You”. Serving as Pallbearers were Kim Schafer, Dana Green, Melissa LaJoie, Leslie Murr, Nathan Boxx, and Kenny Whittenburg. Burial was in the North Lawn Cemetery.
