Loretta Marie (Helms) Marrill

Loretta Marie (Helms) Marrill was born May 18, 1953, to Harold and Marcella (Fowler) Helms. She grew up and attended school in Steelville, Missouri. Loretta started working at a young age and was a talented seamstress for many years. Loretta was united in marriage to Eddie Brown and together they shared three children: Cindy, Charles, and Delmera. She later married the love of her life, Bill Edward Marrill, February 12, 1994. Loretta and Bill created eighteen years of lasting memories together before his passing May 9, 2012. Loretta was all about family; her children and grandchildren were her world. She loved having her son, Charles, cook on the barbeque grill. Her and her siblings took annual trips together, although she missed the last one to Branson, she looked forward to them every year. Loretta enjoyed keeping herself moving and really liked attending the exercise class at the Housing Authority. Most of all she loved the Lord, going to church, attending revivals, praying and gospel singings. Loretta has been a member of Salem Full Gospel Church for many years. Loretta entered into eternal rest December 14, 2024, in Rolla, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her loving children: Delmera Cassin of Salem, MO, Cindy Carmack and husband Robert of Steelville, MO, and Charles Brown and wife Georgia of Salem, MO; siblings: Philip Helms and wife Virginia, Janet Woods and husband Ken, Pat Martin, Karalee Curtis and husband Eric, Anessa Larue and husband Tim, Rachel Hampton and husband Anthony, Harold Helms, and Kyle Helms and wife Marlena; stepmother: Linda Helms; stepbrother: Roger Brown and wife Michelle; grandchildren: David Brown, Josh Cassin and wife Katelyn, Luke Gruen, Alyssa Brown, and Gary Brown; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death was the love of her life and husband: Bill Marrill; husband: Eddie Brown; parents: Harold and Marcella (Fowler) Helms; and siblings: Barbara Francoeur, Delmar Helms, and Steve Fowler. Loretta was beautiful inside and out, always full of joy, uplifting, and fun to be around. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Funeral Services for Loretta Marie (Helms) Marrill were held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Bill Stack officiating. Song selections played were “Just As The Sun Went Down” and “What A Day That Will Be”. Serving as Pallbearers were Kevin Martin, Rodney Helms, Harold Helms, Kyle Helms, Josh Cassin, and Harold Norman. Honorary Pallbearer was Martin Wilson. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery.
