Lorrie Ann (Clark) Brown

Lorrie Ann (Clark) Brown was born on February 20, 1963, in O’Neill, Nebraska, to Keith and Starlyn Clark. She graduated from high school and continued her education, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and History. Her education and compassionate heart prepared her for a lifetime of serving and encouraging others. Lorrie proudly served her country as a United States Marine, a chapter of her life that remained close to her heart. She never lost the pride she felt in having earned the title of Marine, Oohrah! Lorrie met the love of her life, Carl Brown, on a blind date in Springfield, Missouri. Their friendship quickly blossomed into love, and they were married on April 3, 1993. Lorrie and Carl made Salem, Missouri their home where they raised their two children, Joshua and Hannah. While Lorrie found joy in many things throughout her life, nothing compared to the love she had for her family. She treasured being a wife and a mother. Her children were her greatest pride and the center of her world. Later, becoming a grandmother brought Lorrie immeasurable happiness, and she treasured every moment spent with Kinsley, Brentley, and Moxon. For eighteen years, Lorrie faithfully served as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor with Southeast Missouri Behavioral Health where she made a lasting difference in the lives of countless individuals and families. She was deeply committed to helping others find hope, healing, and a new beginning. Lorrie loved listening to Christian music, creating beautiful quilts to lovingly gift to others, and tending her garden. She was a fantastic cook and never passed up the chance for a competitive game of Canasta. Lorrie was a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, a true History Buff, and liked watching Westerns, with John Wayne being one of her favorites. She also cherished the time she spent with her dear friend, Kim Johnson, whose friendship brought her much happiness over the years. Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. Lorrie most recently attended Full Gospel Church and had previously worshipped at New Harmony and Faith Assembly. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived, and her faith overflowed into the lives of those around her. Lorrie passed away July 26, 2026, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of sixty-three years. Those left behind to treasure her memory include her loving husband: Carl Brown of Salem, MO; son: Joshua Brown and significant other Hannah of Salem, MO; daughter: Hannah Brown of West Plains, MO; grandchildren: Kinsley, Brentley, and Moxon; mother: Starlyn Clark; siblings: Linda Slagle, Richard Clark, and Monica George and husband Randy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her father: Keith Clark; father and mother-in-law: Ivel and Patricia Brown; and grandparents-in-law: Thomas and Georgia Gossard. Those who knew Lorrie will remember her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and caring heart. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. She will be forever missed. Funeral Services were held Monday, August 3, 2026, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Bill Stack officiating and Kim Johnson sharing the eulogy. Serving as Pallbearers were Skyler Johnson, Mike Johnson, Craig Blanck, Chris Curley, Rick Ragsdale, and Joshua Brown. Honorary Pallbearers were Chris Mackley and John Howard.
