Lysandra Diana (Dean) Hebert

Lysandra Diana (Dean) Hebert was born on January 15, 1947, in Kewanee, Illinois to Carl and Ruth (Etter) Dean and passed away on April 14, 2020, in Lenox, Missouri at the age of seventy-three years. Lysandra grew up in Peoria, Illinois and graduated with the Class of 1965 from Limestone High School. She furthered her education at Columbia College and received her bachelor’s degree in Science and Business. On November 23, 1979, Lysandra married her sweetheart, Omer Hebert and together they shared forty wonderful years of marriage and were blessed to share five children: Brandi, Brent, Lindi, Bryan, Kimberly, and Kelley. Lysandra was a skilled beautician, she worked at the beauty shop as well as traveled to her client’s homes. Lysandra also devoted her time and talent with the residents at Seville Care Center. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a longtime member of Lenox Community Fellowship. Lysandra loved to sing gospel music and attend Ladies Bible Study. She was well known for her pumpkin bread and sunflower seed cookies. Most of all Lysandra enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also cherished her two dogs “Curley” and “Bently”. Lysandra is survived by her loving husband: Omer Hebert of the home; five children: Brandi Siedentopf and husband Fritz of Flagstaff, AZ, Brent Light Sr. of Salem, MO, Lindi Schmitt and husband Nick of Salem, MO, Kimberly Coulter and husband Todd of Dunlap, IL, and Kelley Pruitt of The Colony, TX; four siblings: Carl Dean Jr. and wife Judy of Florida, Alan Dean and wife Patty of Illinois, Owen Dean and wife Sheila of Arkansas, and Maryella Goldsmith of Illinois; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Preceding her in death, her son: Bryan Light and parents: Carl and Ruth Dean. Lysandra was a joyous person who was always finding good in people. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Funeral Services for Lysandra Diana (Dean) Hebert were held Monday, April 20, 2020 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Marcie Thomas officiating. Song selections played were “Mansion Over the Hilltop”, “I Will Rise”, “Amazing Grace”, and “Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone” Serving as Pallbearers were Mikol Skaggs, Nick Schmitt, Christian Marago, Lucas Schmitt, and Auston Marago. Burial was in the Edgar Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
