Marian Eva (Kroeck) Wisdom

Marian Eva (Kroeck) Wisdom was born January 10, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri to Paul and Eva Amellia (Fisher) Kroeck. At the age of thirteen, she moved to Bunker, Missouri where she grew up with her brothers and sisters. Marian was the cherished wife of Clyde Roman Wisdom. Together, they raised a beautiful family, creating a lifetime of memories filled with love and laughter. They were blessed to share four children: Jim, Diana, Christine, and C.J. Although she worked outside the home at times, Marian was a dedicated homemaker. She took great pride in raising her family and caring for her home. Marian was an excellent cook and could be found in the kitchen cooking and baking for family gatherings. Her homemade bread and fresh baked pies were some favorites of her family. Marian loved the outdoors and porch sitting. She enjoyed gardening, sharing her bounty with others, and tending to her flower beds. Marian and Clyde liked to dig snake roots together and sell to others. Most important to her was making memories with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marian was a lady of faith and longtime member of Solid Rock Pentecost Church. She loved to read the Bible and share the Lord with others. She was passionate about music and gifted with a beautiful voice. Marian loved to sing and play the guitar. She found true joy in giving to and helping others. Marian departed this life October 31, 2023, in Salem, Missouri, at home surrounded by her loving family at the age of eighty-seven years. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her loving children: Jim Harper and wife Terry of Palestine, TX, Diana Light and husband Junior of Salem, MO, Christine McSwain and husband Mark of Salem, MO, and C.J. Wisdom and wife Sonia of Bunker, MO; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Preceding her in death, husband: Clyde Wisdom; father: Paul Kroeck; mother: Eva Copeland; and all her siblings. With Marian, you always knew where you stood, as her genuine nature and honesty were qualities that made her stand out. She was a woman of unwavering love and care, leaving a lasting impression on all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed. Funeral Services for Marian Eva (Kroeck) Wisdom were held Saturday, November 4, 2023, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Junior Light and Pastor Wendel Light officiating. Amanda Pax and Ron Smith shared kind words of encouragement and memories. Serving as Pallbearers were J.R. Wisdom, Roman Wisdom, Matthew Wisdom, Christopher McSwain, Cody Wisdom, and Kale Harper. Honorary Pallbearer was A.J. Wisdom. Burial was in the Greeley Cemetery, Bunker, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
