Mary "Annalou" (Delong) Gordon

Mary Annalou (Delong) Gordon was born on February 6, 1945, in Hooker, Missouri. She was from a large family being one of eleven born to Everett Morris and Mabel Irene (Bell) Delong. She was known to many as “Lou” or “Annalou” and grew up in Devils Elbow. Annalou graduated with the class of 1963 from Waynesville High School. After high school, she attended Springfield Beauty Academy in Springfield, Missouri and obtained her cosmetology certificate. Annalou was united in marriage on January 11, 1964 to the love of her life, Jessie Olen Gordon Jr. They were devoted to each other and shared the last fifty-eight years of memories together. Annalou and Jessie were blessed with two daughters: Cristal and Teresa. Annalou raised not only two daughters of her own but many others throughout the years as a childcare provider. Her love of children was evident in the love and care she provided. Annalou and Jessie were owner/operator of Speedy’s Food Mart and also owned and operated Gordon’s Small Engine Repair for many years. They enjoyed camping together and would spend every summer at the Red Oak Resort in Camdenton. Annalou was a big-hearted lady who loved life and cherished her family. She loved cooking and baking for family gatherings, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Annalou treasured her grandchildren and adored her great-grandchildren. Annalou had a strong Christian faith and dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She was a longtime member at First Freewill Baptist Church in Waynesville, Missouri. Annalou truly enjoyed attending Sunday School, Sunday Worship, and fellowshipping with others. She liked reading her Bible, listening to Gospel music, and singing. Annalou entered into eternal rest on December 5, 2022 in Sandoval, Illinois at the age of seventy-seven years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, loving daughters: Cristal Dennick and Warren Robertson of Sandoval, IL and Teresa Livengood and husband Mark of Waynesville, MO; grandchildren: Brandon Dennick and Megan of Waynesville, MO, Brittany Dennick of Washington, PA, Kasey Gipperich and husband Robert of Henley, MO, Brook Dennick and Daniel of Paris, MO, and Kelsay Pemberton of Waynesville, MO; great-grandchildren: Justice and her mother Tiffany Dennick, Kingston, Luxy, Logan, Preston, Hope, Roman, Timmy, Karson, Rawlyns, and Kohen; extended family and dear friends. Preceding her in death, husband: Jessie Gordon Jr.; son-in-law: Bruce Dennick; parents: Everett and Mabel Delong; and ten siblings. Annalou was a beautiful lady with a smile that would light up a room. She was special to many and has left a huge void in their lives. Her memories will be cherished forever by those who loved her most. Funeral Services for Mary Annalou (Delong) Gordon were held Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the First Freewill Baptist Church Waynesville, Missouri with Pastor Gary Parker and Pastor Russell Johnson officiating. Special Music was provided by Dana Wood. Serving as Pallbearers were Richard Baptiste, Kenton Fritts, Jimmy Bell, Dennie Doss, Brian Baker, and Shannon Medley. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery, Waynesville, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
