Norma Jean (Paine) Click

Norma Jean (Paine) Click was born November 5, 1959, in Houston, Missouri, to Toby and Irene (Gates) Paine. She grew up in Salem, Missouri, and graduated with the class of 1978 from Salem High School. On June 4, 1978, Norma was united in marriage to the love of her life, Darrell Click. They shared forty-five years of creating lasting memories together. Norma was the proud mother of two children: Nicky and Ricky. Her four grandchildren were her pride and joy. She had the utmost love for her family and cherished the time they spent together. During her working career, Norma was a hard worker and worked in the mines for nearly nineteen years. She wasn’t afraid to learn new things and worked on many different tasks to include scaling. An avid nature lover, she found comfort and happiness in the outdoors. Norma enjoyed fishing, especially at Montauk and Norfork Lake. She loved to hunt and looked forward to deer hunting on the farm every fall. Norma was a devout Christian and loved the Lord. She enjoyed the fellowship at Dry Fork Baptist Church, Round Pond Baptist Church, and most recently at New Life Free Will Baptist Church in Licking. Norma entered eternal rest May 13, 2024, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years. Those left behind to treasure her memory include her loving husband: Darrell Click of Salem, MO; son: Ricky Paine Jr. of Salem, MO; siblings: Tom Paine and wife Gloria of Rolla, MO, Christine Livingston of Salem, MO, Linda Taylor and husband Red of Belleview, MO, Lavada Erickson and husband Owen of Salem, MO, Bobby Paine and wife Brenda of Arizona, Mary Lewis and husband Ed of Doolittle, MO; and Rick Paine Sr. of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Gage, Eve, Macey, and Jeanie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her daughter: Nicky (Paine) Jester; parents: Toby and Irene (Gates) Paine; and sister: Patricia (Paine) White. Norma was beautiful inside and out. She was kind, caring, heartwarming, and compassionate. She not only lit up the room when she walked in, she filled the hearts and touched the lives of everyone around her. Funeral Services for Norma Jean (Paine) Click were held Saturday, May 18, 2024, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Jim Privett officiating. Song selections played were “Wind Beneath My Wings”, “Amazing Grace”, “Beulah Land”, “When We All Get To Heaven”, and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”. Serving as Pallbearers were Stephen Paine, Ricky Paine Jr., Charlie Click, John Click, Mike Wulf, and Justin Watson. Honorary Pallbearers were Eddie White, Josh Copeland, David Salts, James Levin, and Kris McCarter. Burial was in the Berry Cemetery.
