Paul Gene Wilson

Paul Gene Wilson was born October 5, 1960, in Rolla, Missouri. He was the son of Joseph “Frank” Franklin and Eula (Gibbs) Wilson. Paul grew up in Salem and in 1978 graduated from Salem High School. On February 15, 1992, Paul was united in marriage to Kimberley Renee Kuhn and to this union blessed with two daughters, Sarah and Kayla. They were later blessed with five grandchildren and raised Kynley and Kayzlyn as their own. Paul and Kim shared thirty-three years of marriage built on love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Paul was a talented carpenter and built many homes, including his own, and business in the area. He also owned and operated the rental center for nineteen years. A dedicated farmer liked working cattle, operating the tractor, and side by side rides. Taking the girls hunting on the farm was one of his favorite things to do. He was very crafty with the welder and loved creating horseshoe art to sell. Paul had a heart of gold. He was a devoted family man; prioritizing time spent with loved ones and creating lasting memories, especially with his grandchildren. His faith, family, and friends were most important to him. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Paul departed this life June 25, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-three years: Kim Wilson of Salem, MO; daughters: Sarah Chartier and husband Josh, Kynley Wilson, and Kayzlyn Wilson all of Salem, MO; brother: Billie Wilson and wife Pam of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Makiyah, Jaelyn, and Noah; extended family and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his daughter: Kayla Wilson; parents: Frank and Eula Wilson; and infant sister: Marilyn. Paul was known for his kindness and generous spirit. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him most. Funeral Mass for Paul Gene Wilson was held Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Antoney Jose Thundathil officiating. Serving as Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers were Shannon Kuhn, Jody Kuhn, Curtis Kuhn, Travis Kuhn, Alan Quick, Braeden Kuhn, Caden Quick, Korbin Quick, Kyson Quick, Marvin Putman, Jesse Kuhn, Austin Kuhn, Davey Gray, and Danny Richardson. Graveside Services were held in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery with Brian Inman providing special music. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Paul Wilson and left with Wilson Mortuary. Memorial Envelopes will be available.
