Phillip David Tune

Phillip David Tune was born on August 8, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri to David and Margie (Mayfield) Tune and passed away on June 18, 2020, in Rolla, Missouri at age of fifty-nine years. Phillip grew up in Salem, Missouri and graduated with the Class of 1978 from Salem High School. He was a man of faith, in his mid-thirties he was baptized in the local creek by his Pastor, Billy Anderson. Philip was a proud father of six children: Angela, Jeremy, Jessica, Samantha, Malinda, and Brandon. They meant the world to him. Phillip worked hard to provide for his family, he worked as a laborer for several factories throughout the years until he was no longer able. Phillip enjoyed watching movies, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, and spending time swimming and hanging out at the river. But most of all, Phillip loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Phillip is survived by his loving children: Angela Tune of Rolla, MO, Jeremy Tune and wife Bobbie of Loose Creek, MO, Jessica Tune of Sullivan, MO, Samantha Tune of Sullivan, MO, Malinda Fraley of Rolla, MO, and Brandon Fraley of Salem, MO; mother: Margie Tune of Salem, MO; sister: Jan Kellermann and husband Gary of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Zakery, Alek, Tucker, Lillian, Caleb, Dabrien, Adelyn, Avery, Ava, Abigail, and Madalynn; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceding him in death, his father David Tune. Phillip will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He lived life with a smile on his face and love in his heart. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services for Phillip David Tune were held Sunday, June 21, 2020 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Billy Anderson officiating. Song selections played were "7 Years", "You'll Accompany Me", and "Simple Man". Serving as Pallbearers were Zakery Tune, Gary Kellermann, Eddie Labrash, Mark Tune, Ray Gant, Brandon Fraley, Dabrien Gorman, and Caleb Gorman. Burial was in the Tune Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
