Reva Pearl (McCall) Mowery

Reva Pearl (McCall) Mowery was born November 27, 1930 in Rocky Ford, Missouri to William Frederick and Edna Ellen (Grant) McCall and passed away August 15, 2019 in Salem, Missouri at the age of eighty-eight years. Pearl grew up in the "hills and hollers of Shannon County". She was united in marriage to Thomas Lee Mowery, October 1, 1955 and to this union three children were born. Wanda, Brenda and Leon, all three share a Halloween birthday. Pearl worked hard raising her family and helping on their farm. She was a crosscut sawing champion as a young adult. In her spare time Pearl enjoyed quilting, gardening and reading. She took great pride in taking care of her family and loved spending time with them. Pearl enjoyed being a grandmother and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Preceding her in death, were her parents, husband, Tom Mowery, and sisters Joy Danforth and Wanda Pyeatt. Pearl is survived by her three children: Wanda Mathis and husband Keith of Springfield, MO, Brenda Robertson and husband Curt of Licking, MO, Leon Mowery and wife Becky of Salem, MO; three brothers: David McCall of Salem, MO, Lonnie McCall of Bunker, MO, and Jimmie McCall of Jadwin, MO; six sisters: Glenda Mitchell of Michigan, Carol Bowers of Arkansas, Jennie Owens of St. Louis, MO, Kay Drye of Salem, MO, Evon Vest of Bunker, MO, Elaine Alwood of Utah; seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Pearl lived a devoted life to her family. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She was loved by all and will be missed deeply. Funeral Service for Reva Pearl (McCall) Mowery was held Sunday, August 18, 2019 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Jim Privett officiating. Special Music played was "Old Rugged Cross", "Amazing Grace" and "Beyond The Sunset". Serving as Pallbearers were: Shawn Mowery, Christian Hunt, James Goodman, Adam Asher, Josh Wisdom and Derrell Fisk. Honorary Pallbearers were: Curt Robertson and Keith Mathis. Burial was in the Stone Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
