Robert "Bob" William Galloway

Robert “Bob” William Galloway was born May 24, 1942, to Herbert Maxwell and Mabel Louise (Foster) Galloway. He was one of four children and a twin to his brother Ronald. Bob was born and raised in Marshalltown, Iowa and graduated with the class of 1960 Marshalltown High School. Bob was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sarah Lou Weatherly, on August 5, 1962, in Liscomb, Iowa. They shared together sixty-two years of marriage and lasting memories. Bob and Sarah were blessed with three children: Troy, Tracey, and Brad. Bob was known as a hard worker and was a true entrepreneur at heart. Throughout the years, he worked as an insurance agent with MetLife, owned a construction company in Texas working on commercial and residential buildings, and was owner/operator of Pure Fitness in Salem. As a family they have many fond memories of living in Iowa, Texas, Florida, and Illinois. In 2004, they made Salem, Missouri their home. Bob was a true Dallas Cowboy Fan. He was a pretty darn good grandpa. He loved his family and above all else he adored his grandchildren. Bob was a man of great faith and member of the Salem Christian Church. Bob entered eternal rest September 9, 2024, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife: Sarah Galloway of Salem, MO; children: Tracey Frasier and husband Warren of Texas and Brad Galloway and wife Kerrie of Salem, MO; sisters: Janet Graves of Iowa and Linda Balvanz and husband Warren of Texas; grandchildren: Ryan, Faith, Trenton, Brinsley, and Isabella; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his son: Troy Galloway; parents: Herbert and Mabel Galloway; twin brother: Ronald Galloway; and brother-in-law: Max Graves. Bob lived a full and blessed life, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and deep love for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Funeral Services for Robert “Bob” William Galloway were held Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Salem Christian Church with Pastor Tim Hill officiating. Special song selections were played. Serving as Pallbearers were Brad Galloway, Warren Frasier, Ryan Frasier, Trenton Black, Blaze Magyar, Kyle Wilmont, Randy Harris, and Dave Fields. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Bob Galloway to the Salem Christian Church and left with Wilson Mortuary.
