Robert "Bob" Murr

Robert “Bob” Murr was born on January 26, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois to Doyle and Helen (Robinson) Murr. He was raised in Salem, Missouri and started working at a young age in the oil fields. Bob was united in marriage on January 28, 1979 in Anutt, Missouri to Donna Taylor. Bob and Donna were blessed with two children: Robert Wayne and Amy. Later they were blessed with nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bob cherished his family and loved family gatherings. Bob was a true entrepreneur at heart and found his passion in business as the owner of Scenic Valley Mobile Home Services. He was well known and loved by the community he served. An avid sportsman, Bob spent his free time hunting, fishing, and shooting. He enjoyed being outdoors and was known as a great shot. Bob was a man of faith and longtime member of Salem Full Gospel. Bob departed this life on July 30, 2022 in Salem, Missouri at the age of sixty-three years. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Donna Murr of Salem, MO; children: Robert Wayne Murr and wife Nichole of Salem, MO and Amy Kinney and husband Jon of Salem, MO; parents: Helen and Doyle Murr of Salem, MO; siblings: Timothy Murr of Salem, MO, Curtis Murr and wife Amanda of Salem, MO, Angel Murr of Bella Vista, AR, Michael Murr and wife Leslie of Salem, MO, and Chrissy Decker and husband Chris of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Kristopher Schwartz and significant other Kayla Notter, Katelyn Schafer and husband Alec, Kaylee Schwartz, Kenzie Murr, Kelbie Clavier, Taylor Caldwell, Jassmine Knight, Christian Murr, and Shane Murr; great-grandchildren: Kinslee, Atlas, and Jacob; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding him in death, grandparents: John and Leona Wisdom; father and mother-in-law: Bill and Marlene Irvin; and special grandmother-in-law: Dixie. Bob had a warm smile, a big heart, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Celebration of Life for Robert “Bob” Murr was held Thursday, August 4, 2022 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Bob Murr and left at Wilson Mortuary.
