Roberta Joline Brown

Roberta Joline Brown was born on February 18, 1977, in St. Louis, Missouri to Randall and Joyce (Warden) Johnson and passed away on September 10, 2020 at the age of forty-three years. Joline grew up and attended school in Potosi, Missouri until the age of fifteen when she was accepted into Jefferson College. Joline was highly intelligent, amiable young woman who enjoyed academic and personal success at an early age. Joline joined the military and worked with military intelligence for a time, after her discharge she worked as a journalist with Lincoln County Journal. Joline was a hard worker and very knowledgeable about what she was doing. Her intelligence, curiosity, and passion for knowledge gave her the ability to be an exceptional young woman in everything she did. Joline was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ira Philip Brown, on July 14, 2000 in Hillsboro, Missouri. Together Joline and Ira shared twenty years of memories and were blessed with two sons: Zerak and Arik. Her sons were her life. Always the proud mom, she beamed with pride when talking about her boys and all their accomplishments. Joline was a lover of poetry and classical music; her favorites were Beethoven and Frank Sinatra. She enjoyed playing computer games and crossword puzzles. All who knew Joline knew her heart, and were touched by her faith, wisdom, and compassion for all. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and truly valued her work in the church pantry. Most important to her, were her family; Joline treasured the time spent with them and the memories they made. Joline is survived by her loving husband Ira Philip Brown of Viburnum, MO; two sons: Zerak and Arik of the home; mother: Joyce (Warden) Johnson of Tiff, MO; three sisters: Rebecca Johnson of Tiff, MO, Mary Beth Singer of Potosi, MO, and Angelick Johnson of Tiff, MO; two brothers: Kelly Singer of Tiff, MO and Jeremiah Johnson of Tiff, MO; as well several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were, her father: Randall Johnson; two brothers; and her grandparents. Joline will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, and best friend to many. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, courage, dignity, and devotion. To know her was to truly love and admire her. Celebration of Life for Roberta Joline Brown was held Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Our Savior Lutheran Church Salem, Missouri with Pastor Rachel Wolf officiating. A Time of Remembrance was held, and congregational hymns were “Abide With Me” and “How Great Thou Art”. Local arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Viburnum, Missouri.
