Rose Marie (Brand) Asher

Rose Marie (Brand) Asher was born September 26, 1945 in Ironton, Missouri to Ernest Raymond and Rose Lily (Short) Brand. She grew up in East End, Missouri and graduated from with class of 1964 from Valley High School. Marie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Jimmie “Jim” Gail Asher, September 25, 1964 in Oates, Missouri and shared together forty-eight years of memories before his passing September 19, 2012. Marie and Jim were blessed with three wonderful children: Kelley, Lisa, and Bradley. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Marie was a hard worker and a compassionate caregiver who was dedicated to going above and beyond to deliver the best possible care to her patients and their families during her time at DCAI. Her smile, love, compassion, and dedication touched the lives of many people in the community. Marie was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan and enjoyed catching their games. Marie and Jim were passionate about bluegrass music and liked attending the Bluegrass Festivals in Dixon, Missouri. Family time was most important to her, she looked forward to family vacations in Branson, and cherished making memories with those she loved the most. Marie was a wonderful grandmother and doting great-grandmother; she treasured the time spent with them. Marie had a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. She was a remarkable role model, always kind, supportive, and a great inspiration. Marie was one of the best and knew how to make you feel special. She was a lady of faith and member of New Harmony Baptist Church. Marie recently attended Belgrade Pentecostal Church of God and enjoyed fellowshipping with others. Marie was a long-standing member of The Order of the Eastern Star. Marie departed this life March 10, 2022 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of seventy-six years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, loving children: Kelley Asher and wife Lynn of Republic, MO, Lisa Hedrick and husband Steve of East End, MO, and Bradley Asher and wife Chris of Belgrade, MO; brother: Charles Brand and wife Barbara of Texas; grandchildren: Dani Damaske and husband Jason, Megan Skipton and Jake, Stephanie Hedrick, Tessa Hedrick, Rita Dotson and husband Bobby, Tim Hartman and wife Elizabeth, Jessica Hartman and Cole, and Lindel Asher; great-grandchildren: Sydney, Cooper, Mason, Asher, Gunner, Hensley, Lucas, Liberty, Madalyn, Emily, Bradlee, Katie, Samuel, and Xander; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death, beloved husband Jim Asher; parents: Ernest and Rose Brand; brother: Robert Brand; and grandson: Scott Parker. Marie will be remembered for her bright smile and radiant personality. She leaves a lasting impact on those who loved her most. Marie will be forever missed but never forgotten. Funeral Services for Rose Marie (Brand) Asher were held Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the Boss Assembly of God Church with Pastor Paul Davis and Pastor Adam Asher officiating. Special Music was provided, and song selection played was “How Great Thou Art”. Serving as Pallbearers were Steve Hedrick, Kyle Skipton, Jason Damaske, Bobby Joe Dotson, John Asher, Ross Brand, Andrew Asher, and Scott Asher. Honorary Pallbearers were J.D. Brooks and Scott Brooks. Burial was in the Boss Cemetery. Arrangements were under direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
