Sharon Elaine (Regnier) Chilton

Sharon Elaine (Regnier) Chilton was born on May 13, 1939 in Washington, Kansas to Raymond and Evelyn (Skyllberg) Regnier. Sharon moved many times while growing up. Eventually her family moved to Ellington, Missouri where she met and later married Stanley Chilton. They were able to celebrate fifty years of marriage. December of 1965 they moved their family to Salem and started Chilton Oil Company. While helping run the family business, Sharon raised three children and graduated from the University of Missouri Rolla with a history degree. She and Stanley loved camping and traveling. Their journeys took them all over the world. Sharon passed away on October 29, 2021 in Salem, Missouri at the age of eighty-two years. She leaves behind her daughters: Glenna Mangelsdorf and husband David of Imperial, MO and Tammy Sellers and husband Jeff of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Zachary Mangelsdorf and fiancé Meghan of St. Louis, MO, Alex Sellers and wife Natalie of St. Louis, MO, and Alayna Parrott and husband Cody of Warrensburg, MO; great-grandchildren: Oliver and Claire Sellers, Ella and Luke Parrott, and a baby girl arriving soon; sisters: Barbara Shay and husband Don of Columbia, MO and Janet Nagel of Eldorado, Kansas; brother: Larry Regnier and wife Darlene of Mesa, Arizona; brother-in-law: Ray Chilton and wife Sue of St. Louis, MO; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death, husband: Stanley Chilton; son: Steven Chilton; brother: Rick Regnier, and her parents: Raymond and Evelyn Regnier. Sharon will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and by all who knew and loved her. Celebration of Life for Sharon Elaine (Regnier) Chilton was held Monday, November in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Minister Ray Chilton and Alex Sellers officiating. Special music was provided by Cory Crocker singing “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace”. Additional song selection played was “Sheltered In The Arms Of God”. Serving as Pallbearers were her loving family. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. The Family was served by Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
