Shirley (Grosspietsch) Hallman

Shirley (Grosspietsch) Hallman was born on April 30, 1965, in Stuttgart, Germany to Francis “Frank” and Irmgard “Ina” (Kubler) Grosspietsch. She grew up in Fairfax County, Virginia and graduated from Falls Church High School with the Class of 1983. Shirley was blessed with three daughters: Crystle, Amanda, and Samantha. She started her working career in Kissimmee, Florida by helping others with their vacation plans selling tickets to local attractions. Shirley moved to Salem in 2005 and started working at various restaurants when she met and fell in love with, Dwaine Coyle, and together they shared many wonderful memories. Shirley furthered her education thru Rolla Technical Institute obtaining her CNA license. She then put her license to work with A+ CDS, DCAI, and Seville Care Center. Shirley was a loving and caring caregiver, she retired in 2013 when her health no longer allowed her to work. Her greatest joy was being around her family and becoming a Grandmother. She doted on her four grandchildren and showered them with love and kindness. Shirley treasured the memories they made together. Shirley was very social and outgoing. She often visited with friends, sang karaoke at JB Malone’s or the Tater Patch, played Bingo, or enjoyed a good meal at her favorite restaurant, Ocean Buffet. Shirley loved listening to music and was Tim McGraw’s number one fan. She was a woman of faith and enjoyed the fellowship at several area churches to include: New Harmony, First Baptist Salem, and Salem United Methodist. Shirley passed away on May 27, 2021 in Salem, Missouri at the age of fifty-six years. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving significant other: Dwaine Coyle of Salem, MO; three daughters: Crystle Grosspietsch of Salem, MO, Amanda Hallman of Salem, MO, and Samantha Hallman of Willard, MO; one brother: Raymond O’Neill of Jefferson City, MO; one sister: Patricia Fuller and husband Michael of Virginia; stepfather: Don Parish; stepmother: Jackie Grosspietsch; four grandchildren: Madison, Blake, Bryson, and Ella; fourteen precious cats; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Shirley is preceded in death by her father: Frances “Frank” Grosspietsch and mother: Irmgard “Ina” Parish. Shirley will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services for Shirley (Grosspietsch) Hallman were held Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Matt Milligan and Aleesha Elwood officiating. Song selections played were “Why”, “Please Remember Me”, “See You Again”, and “Bye Bye”. Serving as Pallbearers were John Young, Tom Russell, Michael Wofford, and Bill Walker. Honorary Pallbearers were Jerry Breeding and John Woods. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
