Stanley Ray Anderson

Stanley Ray Anderson was born July 30, 1949, in Salem, Missouri, to Winford Pryor and Lucy Arlean (Bell) Anderson. He grew up near Big Creek and graduated with the class of 1967 from Salem High School. Stanley was united in marriage to the love of his life, Katherine Sue Floyd, June 6, 1970, in Boss, Missouri by Paul “Tooter” Pryor. They shared fifty-two years of memories together before Sue’s passing away on September 25, 2022. Stanley and Sue were blessed with one beloved son: William Andru. Stanley worked hard to provide for his family. Throughout his working career he worked for the International Shoe Factory and as a stocker with Craig Distributing. Stanley retired from US Foods after thirty-five years of dedication. Stanley was a sports enthusiast. He especially liked watching basketball, football, and baseball games. He was a big St. Louis Cardinals fan, never missing a game. In his younger years, Stanley was a passionate bowler and shared his passion with his son. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and truly loved going on cruises with Sue and some friends. Stanley entered into eternal rest December 12, 2023, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of seventy-four years. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; loving son: William “Andru” Anderson of Salem, MO; sisters: Connie Wells and Donna Griffith and husband Norman of Salem, MO; special nieces and nephews: Angela Baker and husband Shawn, Brian Griffith, Angela Pickle and husband Mike, Stacey Lato and husband Danny, and Scott Floyd; brother-in-law: William Floyd and wife Charlotte; special friends: Randy and Debbie Brooks and Mary Pittman; extended family and dear friends. Preceding him in death, his wife: Katherine “Sue” Anderson; parents: Winford and Arlene Anderson; father and mother-in-law: Clifford and Reba Floyd; brothers-in-law: Don Wells and Jim Floyd; and sister-in-law: Charlotte Pogue. Most important to Stanley was creating lasting memories with his darling wife and precious son. His life was full of love, laughter, and fun. He always had a way to make people laugh, usually by pulling a prank and messing with those around him, but always in good fun. He will be forever missed. Funeral Services for Stanely Ray Anderson were held Friday, December 15, 2023, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Chris Hendrix officiating. Song selections played were “Amazing Grace” and “Old Rugged Cross”. Serving as Pallbearers were Shawn Baker, Norman Griffith, and Danny Lato. Honorary Pallbearers were Bill Anderson, Brian Griffith, and Robbie White. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
