Thelma Pearl (Edgar) Fore

Thelma Pearl (Edgar) Fore was born December 22, 1929, in Rolla, Missouri, to Kenneth Franklin and Annie Melvina (Craddock) Edgar. She grew up in Anutt, Missouri and attended school in a one room schoolhouse, now known as the Young Community Center. Thelma was united in marriage to Clay John Fore, March 9, 1952, and to this union blessed with three children: Carol, Kathy, and Keith. Thelma and Clay shared fifty-four years creating lasting memories together before his passing November 21, 2006. A dedicated homemaker, Thelma cherished spending time with her family and took great pride in caring for her home. She took excellent care of her daughter Carol Jane until her passing away in 2005. Thelma was a natural caregiver and throughout the years adopted any little old lady that was close by and built a strong bond with them. Thelma had a green thumb, loved her flowers, and successfully grew huge vegetable gardens. She was often found in the kitchen canning and preparing a great number of foods and baking delicious pies. Thelma always looked forward to spending time with her family and Sunday dinners. She adored her grandchildren, often laughed with them, and treasured rocking them as babies. Thelma had a kind servants’ heart, always willing and ready to help others. She was a faithful member of Victor Baptist Church where she enjoyed playing the piano and volunteered as secretary and treasurer, until her health started to decline. Thelma entered eternal rest on October 13, 2024, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of ninety-four years. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her daughter: Kathy Burns and husband Matthew of Salem, MO; son: Keith Fore and wife Debbie of Salem, MO; sister: Deanie Lucas and husband Lawrence of Edgar Springs, MO; brothers: Loyd Edgar and wife Saundra and Bill Edgar and wife Judi both of Edgar Springs, MO; grandchildren: Jeremy Thomas and wife Angela, Joshua Thomas and wife Allison, Mackenzie Fore, and Brett Fore; great-grandsons: Hunter, Miles, Caleb, and Ezekiel; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her loving husband: Clay Fore; daughter: Carol Jane Fore; parents: Kenneth and Annie Edgar; and brothers: Glen and Roy Edgar. Thelma was soft spoken with a warm personality. Her family and friends will remember her for her dry sense of humor. The joy she brought to others will be deeply missed. Funeral Services for Thelma Pearl (Edgar) Fore were held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Bobby Mathis officiating. Song selections played were “Amazing Grace”, “In The Garden”, and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”. Serving as Pallbearers were Jeremy Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Brett Fore, Gary Edgar, Dennis Edgar, and Kenny Edgar. Burial was in the Edgar Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Thelma Fore to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital and left with Wilson Mortuary. Memorial Envelopes will be available.
