Theron "Pat" Patrick Nash

Theron “Pat” Patrick Nash was born March 13, 1939, in Bunker, Missouri. He was one of seven children born to Jesse David “Bud” and Delola (Stricklin) Nash. He grew up on the family farm near the banks of Sinking Creek. On December 8, 1956, Pat was united in marriage to the love of his life, Bernadean Pace. They shared sixty-seven years of marriage together and created many lasting memories. Pat and Bernadean were blessed with three children: Lois, Darrell, and John. Pat started his working career as a logger before joining the mining industry. He retired from Doe Run after thirty-three years of dedication. His family was his first priority and he worked hard to provide for them. Pat was a very loving and caring family man. He adored his grandchildren and treasured his great-grandchildren. Pat always had a love for horses. He bred and raised them and easily cared for thirty at one time. Pat enjoyed trail riding and was the trail leader at Golden Hills Trail Rides in Raymondville, Missouri for many years. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting and spending time on the farm. Music and poetry were something he was gifted at and enjoyed sharing with others. He has written several poems and even had some published. Pat also wrote several gospel song lyrics, as well as played the guitar and harmonica. He was a man of great faith and attended Dent County House of Prayer. He was a previous a member of Greeley Community Church and Crossville Baptist Church. Pat departed this life July 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Salem, Missouri, at the age of eighty-five years. Those left behind to treasure his memory include his loving wife: Bernadean Nash of Salem, MO; children: Lois Gray of Jefferson City, MO, Darrell Nash of Salem, MO, and John Nash and fiancé Vee Dennis of Monroe City, MO; siblings: Roger Nash and wife Kim of Jerome, MO, Phyllis Cook of Arnold, MO, Francine Copeland and husband Mark of Maynard, AR; grandchildren: Angelea Smith and husband Bill, Bethany Thompson, Cody Morton, and Shelly Smith; great-grandchildren: Courtnay, Billy, Brenden, Dylan, Riley, Makynna, Ashton, Serenity, and Emersyn; special cousin: Dena Callahan; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his parents: Jesse “Bud” and Delola Nash; brother: Richard Nash; sisters: Victoria Ruble and Veronica Hambacker; and daughter-in-law: Helenita Nash. Pat was filled with great joy and happiness that he shared with those around him. His contagious smile will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed. Funeral Services for Theron “Pat” Patrick Nash were held Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Logan Nash officiating and Brenden Smith sharing a special poem. Song selections played were “Lead Me Home”, “Beulah Land”, “Everybody Will Be Happy Over There”, “Will You Meet Me Over Yonder”, and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”. Serving as Pallbearers were Brenden Smith, Dylan Thompson, Cody Morton, Ashton Morton, Jake Cullen, and Salvatore Caminiti. Honorary Pallbearer was Billy Smith.
