Timothy Scott Westerman

Timothy Scott Westerman was born on August 31, 1967, in Sullivan, Missouri to John E. and Artie P. (Medling) Westerman. Scott grew up and attended school in Salem. He met the love of his life, Sheila Godfrey, at the age of seventeen while she was working at Bud’s Arcade. The two were united in marriage on July 20, 1990 in Rolla and together shared thirty-one years of great memories. Scott and Sheila were blessed to share five wonderful children: John, Casey, Scotty, Sharlene, and Tiffany. Scott worked hard to provide for his family and taught his children the value of hard work. He has been employed with Salem Wood Products for twenty-six years. With hard work and dedication, he quickly obtained a supervisor position. Scott was an avid outdoorsman and had a genuine love of horses. He enjoyed trail rides with his horse and riding the side by side. Scott was known as a “fixer of things” to his children and was the best handyman around. His greatest passion was his family, he loved aggravating and cutting up with his children. Scott always had a corny dad joke to tell and a smile to share. He was extremely proud of his grandchildren and treasured the memories they made together. Scott passed away on August 16, 2021 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of fifty-three years. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife Sheila Westerman of the home; children: John Reed and wife Sarah of Rolla, MO, Casey Westerman and fiancé Steven Lane of Republic, MO, Scotty Westerman and wife Natalee of Salem, MO, Sharlene Marfitt and husband Derrick of Salem, MO, and Tiffany Nolan and husband John of Salem, MO; siblings: John Westerman and wife Donna of St. Clair, MO, Joe Westerman and wife Tammy of Salem, MO, Kathy Wood and husband Mark of Salem, MO, and Lori Westerman of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Henry, Dane, Liam, Sylver, Luca, Elsie, Mia, and Greyson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death, parents: John and Artie Westerman; father and mother-in-law: James and Mary Schafer; sister-in-law: Vicky Westerman; and brother-in-law: Bill Godfrey. Scott was one of a kind and leaves behind a legacy of love for his family. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services for Timothy Scott Westerman were held Friday, August 20, 2021 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Rick Pitchford and Ed Truelove officiating. Special music sung was “I’ll See You In the Morning” and additional song selections played were “My Old Man” and “Faithfully”. Serving as Pallbearers Johnny Reed, Scotty Westerman, Derrick Marfitt, John Nolan, Steven Lane, and Josh Westerman. Burial was in the Dry Fork Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Scott Westerman and left at Wilson Mortuary.
