Tina Marie (Newby) Pabin

Tina Marie (Newby) Pabin was born September 22, 1974, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Larry and Sandra (Bruenger) Newby. Her childhood has memories in St. Louis and Hillsboro before moving to Bunker where she graduated high school. Tina then furthered her education, receiving her associate’s degree and starting her nursing career. Tina was a compassionate nurse who genuinely cared for her patients and listened to them intently. She started as the Bunker School Nurse, and then from 2001-2009 Acute Care RN at Salem Memorial District Hospital, 2009-2023 Emergency Room RN at Salem Memorial District Hospital, and 2023-2025 Family Clinic Manager at Salem Memorial Hospital. Tina was a proud mother to her daughters, Whitney and Mackenzie, and son, Danny. Later in life, on July 14, 2014, she married Leonard Pabin Jr. Together, they blended two families, welcoming Jamie and Leonard III, into her heart. Her greatest joy was watching her children and grandchildren grow, and she took immense pride in the strong, loving family they became. Tina was an outstanding cook. Her favorite place to be other than home was fishing on Damariscotta Lake, fishing in "Tina's Cove". She enjoyed bass fishing and throughout the years she has participated in several fishing tournaments showing off her skill. She also liked beekeeping and was a member of the Rolla Bee Club. Tina passed away August 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at her home in Salem, Missouri, at the age of fifty years. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband: Leonard Pabin Jr.; mother: Sandy Brown and husband David; daughter: Whitney Aguilar and husband David; son: Danny Pruitt “DJ” and wife Christin; daughter: Mackenzie Ray; stepdaughter: Jaime Kowal and husband Matt; stepson: Leonard Pabin III; grandchildren: Hollan, Aylen, Ella, Chloe, Brixton, and Raelynn; brother: Larry T. Newby; sisters-in-law: Brenda Czarnecki and husband James, Colleen Yannotti and husband Larry, Virginia Pabin and Michael Lamie, Mary Pabin, Kathleen Felten and husband Michael, Joyce Ann Carroll and husband David; brothers-in-law: Patrick Pabin and wife Diana; nieces and nephews: Ray Czarnecki, Emily and Abigail Felten, Anna Marie Menagh, and Samantha Pabin; extended family and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her sisters: Tania Newby and Terry Turner; and her father: Larry E. Newby. Tina was a woman who spoke her mind with a filter that left you knowing exactly what she wanted or meant! Her sense of humor and one liners were usually the life of the party and at times left everyone at the table hanging their heads in disbelief. She was always fun to be around. Her beautiful smile and ability to make others laugh will be deeply missed. Tina was a true inspiration. Funeral Services for Tina Marie (Newby) Pabin were held Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Ben Pursifull and Lisa Cummings officiating. Song selections played were “All of Me”, “Heaven Was Needing A Hero”, “How Do I Say Goodbye”, and “Momma Song”. The South Central Missouri Nurse Honor Guard presented The Nightingale Tribute, Remember A Nurse. Serving as Pallbearers were Danny Pruitt, David Aguilar, Leonard Pabin III, Larry T. Newby, Whitney Aguilar, and Mackenzie Ray. Burial was in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery, Lenox, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Tina Pabin to Cancer Research and left with Wilson Mortuary. Memorial Envelopes will be available.
