Vivian "Sue" (Fowler) Stagner

Vivian Sue (Fowler) Stagner was born July 12, 1939, in Salem, Missouri to William Guy and Ada Vivian (Whitaker) Fowler. She entered into eternal rest September 3, 2022, in Salem, Missouri at the age of eighty-three years. Sue grew up and attended school in Salem. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Donald Raymond Stagner, on July 18, 1960, and to this union blessed with two children: Ray and Donna and two grandchildren: Kyle and Danielle. Sue took great pride in raising her family and helping provide for her home. Throughout the years she worked in several factories to include the International Shoe Factory and Hagales. Sue loved to cook and enjoyed family gatherings. Some of her special dishes include fried turkey. Sue had very talented hands, she loved to quilt and has made many beautiful handmade quilts for her family. Her grandchildren brought her great joy and she rarely miss an opportunity to attend their sporting events and school activities. Sue was a lady of faith and attended Hobson Community Church when her health allowed. She was a longtime member at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Sue leaves behind to treasure her memory, loving children: Ray Stagner of Rolla, MO and Donna Hoyt and husband Rick of Salem, MO; brothers: Lowell Fowler of Salem, MO and Jerry Fowler and wife Karen of Salem, MO; sister: Verna Lou Inman and husband Perry of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Kyle Stagner and wife Sophie of Rolla, MO and Danielle Copp and husband Andrew of St. James, MO; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death, husband: Donald Stagner; parents: William and Ada Fowler; and brothers: Infant Emmitt, Clyde, Delmar, and Bill. Sue lived a full and happy life. She was a sweet lady filled with love and kindness. Sue will be forever missed but never forgotten. Funeral Services for Vivian Sue (Fowler) Stagner were held Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Tim Hill officiating. Song selections played were “Amazing Grace” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”. Serving as Pallbearers were Kyle Stagner, Sophie Stagner, Danielle Copp, Andrew Copp, Kent Inman, and Kendall Inman. Honorary Pallbearers were Rick Hoyt, Lowell Fowler, Jerry Fowler, and Randy Fowler. Burial was in the Green Forest Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Sue Stagner to the Green Forest Cemetery Fund and left at Wilson Mortuary.
