Wade Allen Mendenhall

Wade Allen Mendenhall was born on January 12, 1970 in Houston, Missouri to Gene and Sherry and passed away on February 3, 2021 in Salem, Missouri at the age of fifty-one years. Wade grew up in Salem and attended Salem High School. He furthered his education at Lynn State Technical College where he earned high honors learning how to operate Heavy Equipment. Wade’s working years include welding, fence building, installing fiber optic cable, operating a tow truck for Knight & Maher and Whitaker's Towing, and most recently, a dedicated farmhand. Wade was united in marriage to Lauren Renee Conaway on October 5, 2019 in Salem, Missouri and together shared many wonderful memories. Wade and Lauren were blessed to share seven children: Patrick, Shelby, Scott, Kyla, Brandon, Jacob, and Riley. Wade was a family man and deeply cherished spending time with loved ones and making memories together. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply; they were his greatest pride and gave him immeasurable joy. Wade had many interests and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes and was an avid motorcyclist; he loved riding with the Spirit Riders every chance he got. Wade loved the outdoors and could often be found at the Current River fishing or spending time in the woods hunting. Physical fitness was important to him and he was dedicated to lifting weights. Wade leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife Lauren Mendenhall of the home; children: Patrick Mendenhall and fiancé Amy Mirgaux, Shelby Mendenhall, Scott Mendenhall, Kyla Destifanes and husband Chase; Brandon Mendenhall and fiancé Summer Skiles, Jacob Mendenhall and Riley Conaway; father: Gene Mendenhall and wife June; mother: Sherry White and husband Kevin; siblings: Timothy Smith and wife Monica, Gregg Mendenhall and wife Kelly, and Kieara Lonning and husband Kermit; grandchildren: Gracie, Katlyn, Aiden, Taiven, Jaxson, Adalynne, Briar, Camden, Draycen, Baby E. on the way, and Ayvah; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Preceding him in death, grandparents: David and Earlene Steelman, and John and Vernie Mendenhall. Wade was a great man of faith with a contagious smile and a daring personality. His loving nature and willingness to help others with anything will long be remembered by his family and friends. Funeral Services for Wade Allen Mendenhall were held Monday, February 8, 2021 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Brian Williams and Aaron Steelman officiating. Song selections played were "I Don't Need Your Rocking Chair", "Sweet Hour of Prayer", and "Victory In Jesus". Serving as Pallbearers were Timothy Smith, Allen Bradley, James Terrill, Eddie Wofford, Gregg Mendenhall, Justin Roark, David Smith, and Michael Mendenhall. Honorary Pallbearers were Aaron Steelman, Jason Steelman, Joel Steelman, Beau Connell, and Shawn Connell. Burial was in the Dry Fork Cemetery.
