Amie Michelle Givens

Amie Michelle Givens was born on May 30, 1975, in Salem, Missouri and grew up in Bucyrus. Amie graduated with the Class of 1993 from Houston High School. At the age of eighteen she met her soulmate, David Camden. Amie and David were blessed with four children: Mystee, Seirra, Thomas, and Jesse. Amie’s all-time favorite passion was cooking. She received a certificate in Chef Training and worked as a Chef in several restaurants to include the Montauk Lodge and Hunting Lodge. Amie was creative, talented and passionate in the kitchen; she was well known for her fried chicken. Amie was beautiful inside and out. She was a strong woman of great faith who always kept a positive attitude and never gave up. Amie had talented hands and loved crocheting and knitting. She created many beautiful pieces that she shared with her family and friends. Most important to Amie was her family. She cherished the memories made with her children and treasured her grandchildren. Amie passed away on October 11, 2020 at the age of forty-five. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her mother: Beth Jackson of Salem, MO; significant other: David Camden of Salem, MO; children: Mystee Swank and husband Micheal of Salem, MO; Seirra Camden and fiancé Anthony Penfield of St. James, MO; Thomas Camden of Bunker, MO; and Jesse Camden of Salem, MO; stepsons: Joshua Camden of Perryville, MO and Jimmy Camden of Viburnum, MO; siblings: Angela Haremza and husband Chance of Kansas, Tara Kerns and husband Josh of Springfield, MO, Rhonda Taylor and husband Richard of North Carolina, Tony Darter of Cabool, MO, and Jamie Darter and wife Tina of Springfield, MO; grandchildren: Greighson, Everly, James, Alex, Anais, and Joshua as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death, her dad: Jim Jackson; sister: Sara Jackson; and brother: Raymond Terrill. Amie will be remembered fondly as a very kind, loving, compassionate person with a heart of gold. She will be forever missed. Funeral Services for Amie Michelle Givens were held Thursday, October 15, 2020 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Charlie Younger officiating. Song selections played were “Amazing Grace”, “Wind Beneath My Wings”, and “Go Rest High On That Mountain” Serving as Pallbearers were her loving family and friends. Burial was in the Jadwin Cemetery. The Family was served by Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Preceding her in death, her dad: Jim Jackson; sister: Sara Jackson; and brother: Raymond Terrill.
