Carl "Bud" Wayne Medley

June 19, 1956 - September 7, 2020

Carl “Bud” Wayne Medley was born on June 19, 1956, in Bixby, Missouri to Winferd Carl and Erma Delores (Bays) Medley and passed away on September 7, 2020, in Salem, Missouri at the age of sixty-four years. Carl, known to many as Bud, was born and raised in Bixby. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Ethel Vance, on November 26, 1989 in Boss, Missouri and together shared thirty wonderful years of marriage and memories. Bud was an extremely hard worker and liked to use his hands which lead him into owning and operating an auto body repair business since the early 1970’s. Bud was very talented and took great pride in his work, spending many countless hours tinkering in his shop. For a short time, Bud also helped his cousin as a surveyor and his dad with Medley Drilling. Bud was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his nephews and niece at the Lake of the Ozarks. He enjoyed looking at classic cars and attending area Car Shows. Bud was a very talented bass guitar player; he touched the lives of many with his musical talent. Most important to Bud were his family and friends. He was a father like figure to his nieces and nephews and truly enjoyed supporting and making memories with them. Bud is survived by his loving wife Ethel Medley of the home; father: Winferd Medley and wife Eula of Boss, MO; two sisters: Elaine Bailey and husband Dan of St. Robert, MO and Phyllis Powers and Joe of Davisville, MO; as well as several brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his mother: Erma (Bays) Medley; nephew: SFC Joshua Fazzino; father and mother-in-law: Eugene and Anna Mae Vance; brother-in-law: Kevin Medley; and sister-in-law: Ella Jo Greenwalt and husband David. Bud was full of knowledge, joy and laughter. He will be deeply missed. Funeral Services for Carl “Bud” Wayne Medley were held Saturday, September 12, 2020 in the Wilson Mortuary Viburnum Chapel with Pastor Paul Davis and Pastor Adam Asher officiating.
