Dakota Nicole Inman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dakota Nicole Inman was born on May 30, 1997, in Rolla, Missouri to Kerry Lowell and Tina Marie (Cummings) Inman and passed away on July 29, 2020, in Salem, Missouri at the age of twenty-three years. Dakota grew up in Salem and graduated with the Class of 2016 from Salem High School. During her teenage years, Dakota participated in several Beauty Pageants, she was crowned Miss Dent County in 2013 and Miss Missouri Outdoors in 2014. Dakota was a beautiful young lady with a heart of gold and a desire to help others. She was genuine, kind, caring, loving and encouraging to everyone she met. Dakota was always surrounded by family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. She spent her free time outdoors; she liked to hunt, ride horses and go fishing in Rock Port, Texas with her family. Dakota enjoyed working in the woodshop with her parents and babysitting her cousins. Some of her fondest moments were camping and traveling with her family, spending time with her Grandma Sharon and her blue heeler, “Duke”. Dakota is survived by her loving parents Kerry and Tina Inman of Salem, MO; brother: Dustin Inman of Salem, MO; grandparents: Perry and Verna Inman of Salem, MO and Sharon Cummings of Salem, MO; Aunts and Uncles: Scott and Lori Cummings of Yancy, TX, Kent and Tammy Inman of Salem, MO, John and Tina Cummings of Fulton, MO, Kevin and Melanie Inman of Inverness, MN, Carl and Nancy Cummings of Cuba, MO, Kendall and Tracie Inman of Salem, MO, Steve and Serena Harper of Salem, MO, and Kasey and Lisa Inman of Salem, MO; as well as several cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were, her grandfather Guy “Red” Cummings and two cousins: Nathan Schafer and Trey Rhoades. Dakota will be remembered as a dedicated daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and best friend to many. Her hilarious sense of humor, joyous spirit, and contagious laugh will never be forgotten. Funeral Services for Dakota Nicole Inman were held Sunday, August 2, 2020 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Bro. Kermit Lonning officiating. Song selections played were “Butterfly Kisses” and “If I Had Only Known”. Serving as Pallbearers were Dustin Inman, Steven Strickland, Cameron Sanders, Cory Nichols, Larry Rhoades, and Cory Cummings. Honorary Pallbearers were Kent Inman, John Cummings, Scott Cummings, Kendall Inman, Carl Cummings, Lou Driemeier, Kevin Inman, Kasey Inman, Lacia Batye, and Zane Stricklin. Burial was in the Dry Fork Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
