Donald "Don" Eugene Luna Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donald “Don” Eugene Luna was born July 6, 1935 in Ozark County, Missouri to Roy and Bessie Luna and departed this life December 7, 2021 in Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-six years. Don was united in marriage to the love of his life, Margaret Ogle on July 6, 1954 in Mountain Home, Arkansas and together shared sixty-seven years of memories. Don and Margaret were blessed with four children: Travis, Rachel, Kathy, and Patricia. Don was a dedicated family man who worked hard to provide for his family. He retired at the age of seventy-four and throughout the years was employed with several sawmills and factories to include: G3 and Lowe Boats. Don enjoyed buying, selling, and trading about anything. He would often try to sell items sight unseen and frequently told others, “I got just what you need”. Don loved finding a good bargain at auctions, flea markets, and antique stores. For many years, Don and Margaret owned and operated Country Roads Antique Store. They truly enjoyed visiting with those who stopped by. In his spare time, Don liked spending time outdoors and could be found picking blackberries and walnuts, ginseng hunting, or digging snake roots. Most important to him was his family and he valued the time spent with them. Don treasured the memories made with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Don was a man of great faith, he served as an excellent role model to those around him, showing them how to live a faith filled life. Don was a longtime member of New Friendship Baptist Church, he loved serving the Lord and fellowshipping with others. Don leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving daughters: Rachel Schmidt and husband Glenn of Laquey, MO, Kathy Henry and husband Eddie of Richland, MO, Patricia Johnson of Laquey, MO, and Cecilia Luna of Richland, MO; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding him in death, wife: Margaret Luna; son: Travis Luna; parents: Roy and Bessie Luna; twin brother: Darwin; sisters: Gertrude, Beatrice, and Shirley; grandson: Gavin Ross Bivins; and great-grandson: Terry Brown Jr. Don loved his family beyond measure and leaves behind a lasting legacy.
